I cry at movies, any time they're sad...or if the hero overcomes odds. I pre-ordered Toy Story 3, can't wait until it gets here so I can watch it!

Yes! Not sobbing outright, but DH and I both get tears running down our cheeks during emotional scenes (both sad and joyful). Of course, our movies are nearly always viewed in our living room, so nobody (except daughter Emi) sees us to make fun of us. And on the rare occasion she's watching with is, I've seen tears on her cheeks too!

In honor of the coming holiday season, here's one that had the tears running down Emi's cheeks as well as ours! I have to add that Emi lost her birth mom five years ago at age 11, so I wasn't really surprised by the tears. But it is a lovely movie, well worth watching.

Yes, and I cried watching a Hallmark movie recently too. It was "Hachi: A Dog's Tale." Too, too sad. I really don't like to watch movies like that.

Another sad dog movie is Where the Red Fern Grows. I just cannot watch those movies any more. I don't like to cry.

My favorite all time movie is "A Tree grows in Brooklyn".
The graduation scene where she reads the card on the flowers from her father sent me into tears the first time, and every time since, I seem to start crying earlier and earlier in anticipation of that scene.

And yes, people laugh at me, too.

Yes, I sobbed out loud at Marley and me. I always get tears watching the ASPCA commercials with Sarah MacLaughlin or Willie Nelson singing in the background.

It depends on how sad, but I always try my best to hide it. Isn't that silly? Some movies I've seen were so badly made that just knowing I'd paid good money to see it almost made me cry...
And for some reason, I cannot even sit through any movie that depicts cruelty to an animal or baby.

I don't. Real life provides enough sadness, I have no tears for make-believe.

Oh, yes, I do. Monica, that movie made me cry when I saw it many years ago, and again when I saw it on the movie network. I remember seeing "Going My Way" when it was first out long ago.....I went to the matinee alone, and was having a good cry, when I noticed a man a couple of seats ahead, who was having a good sob, too. My DIL told me once that she was so impressed when my DS cried in a movie....she knew he would be a kind, compassionate mate, and he has been.

Yes, especially if its about an animal. I cry every time I watch Michael (John Travolta movie) even though I know that dog is going to be okay. And Ghost and OMGosh the Titanic...
Last week I watch a recorded Blue Bloods, Tom Selek had to speak at the funeral of a fallen Police Woman and it really brought on the tears.

I cry easily, too. Hallmark commericals, those coffee commercials where the son comes home in his military uniform and wakes his parents by brewing coffee and they come running down the stairs--OMG, that one really gets me. They start playing it around the holidays. Movies, too. We rent Netflix and for some maudlin reason seem to pick those tear jerkers. We were both in tears after "The Secret Life of Bees".

I always hold it in... once I did cry at a movie theater. I don't remember the movie, but I imagine it involved animals. I think everyone was crying.

At home, I hold it in too... unless I am by myself then even sappy commercials will have be tearing up.

I cry more at commercials. I'm a wuss, so the tears come easily and sometimes it is embarrassing when no one else seems upset. They're a few hymns we sing at church that I have to fight to keep from crying.

I have rarely, if ever, cried in a movie theater. But I'll cry like a baby watching anything remotely sad at home! I've even cried during Mork and Mindy.

I must have been born with the gene to cry at any animal distress. My first memories were bawling at Lassie and Bambi movies when I was three or four. Then Lassie came on TV. Always when Lassie would appear after being gone for weeks, Timmie would cry 'LASSIE', the music started, and I started sobbing . I cried at Little House and The Waltons to name a few. But I sobbed out loud at the Marley movie but everyone else was too.

I cry at everything remotely sad, sentimental, very sweet during movies and on TV. I cried when Oprah gave everybody in the audience her "favorite things" one holiday season when she filmed in Macon, Georgia, and included in that was a new fridge. Not just any fridge--an LG HDTV stainless fridge with weather and info center (incl. recipes that come up on the HDTV screen on the fridge). I can't even see it on the LG website--maybe they couldn't manufacture it in the end, or stopped making it, or it's not something they advertise!

Anyway, the camera person scanning the audience stopped at an older woman, who you pretty much knew had never even imagined she could ever have something so nice. Huge waterworks!

I think I'll never watch Toy Story 3--just thinking about the theme of the boy leaving for college and his toys feeling left behind (don't tell me that everything turns out OK--it doesn't matter!) is making my eyes water.

I could barely get through Marley. I know I would've cried in the theater, but I watched it on DVD. During the first couple of months after my dog died. Stupid me. Big, stupid blubbery me. It was a bit therapeutic to get more of my tears out, tho.

A footnote: I cried today a few times during Secretariat. I'm such a wussie, I know.

I get damp eyes when something sad happens to an animal but I've never actually cried as an adult at a movie.

It's funny. My friend and I were talking about it at some move we saw a few months ago. It was animated and we both got damp eyed over the animal. I think it was the dragon one. Kids were about to be hurt,but no tears. Animal,even a fake one, tears. LOL

Secretariat did have some sad parts but the joy of horses doing what they love is what had me going. I was the only one in the whole theater so I yelled, I groaned, I cheered. Very exhilarating.

I don't like to watch sad movies....I want to be entertained with happy ones, action ones, etc.
I don't want to feel bad or sad during or after seeing them...what a bummer....
