From Clueless Men to Vapid Women -- TV

Is anyone else thinking, "Oh, puleeze," during the 'men's products' ads on TV depicting women as giggly, vapid Barbies...'when the moment is *right*' (wink, wink)? Sitcoms depicted men -- especially fathers -- as clueless dimwits for years. I didn't like that either.

We only watch commercial TV for news, but these 'virility' ads seem endless. All prescription drug ads are annoying, but these just get my goat.

Is it just me? I don't want to hear ANY prescription drug pitches -- and other countries don't permit them -- but the male 'enhancement' stuff with the willing wenches is over the top demeaning.

The idea that this actually works to move the product is a little scary. Do I sound as though I was raised in a convent? (You know I wasn't, or I wouldn't bring it up!)
