How could your son and his family not invite you for Thanksgiving? That is so unthoughtful!

Our family has included people in the past that would have been alone.

Across the street lives a man who had a stroke 6 weeks ago. We invited him, but he's going to his daughter's. He recovered well enough to live on his own 4 weeks after having the stroke. I visit him and go shopping with him. He's not supposed to drive but does anyway. Sometimes he lets me drive. He's in his 50's.
