Hey Chick!!!I live in Trussville now. Back to my old stomping grounds. I know you live over the mtn, but could we get together for lunch one day?? Any other Alabamians are welcome too, we could make it on the weekend if any others want to join in or during the week if it is just the 2 of us. But I have admired you for years and thought of you many times and would just love to meet with you and catch up....I can send you my email addy if interested. Goes for anyone else that wants to come....

I frequent Joel's downtown Trussville, when their menu calls my name :o) Sometimes I meet Linda from GA now from Al, who lives in Remlap

Or there's The Summit, which is 459 for you coming from Trussville onto 280. I live close to The Summit.

I have new wheels, will travel :o)

Next week, first part is birthday for my son, turning 48, so maybe the end of the week or the next week? Will see how Linda's schedule goes. I have her email and phone number as well.

Great to see you reconnected to the KT.

I know where both of those are!!! In fact, Joel's used be owned (not sure about now) by one of my DB's friends parents... I know where the Summit is, never been there but there is always a first time. lol

And while we're at it, thank you Glenda for one of our favorite coleslaw recipes. I can't tell you how many times we've enjoyed it over the years. How long ago did you go on that cruise? I'll repost it for anyone who hasn't seen it. There's a photo of it on the last WFD thread. ALASKAN COLESLAW 5 cups shredded cabbage 1/2 cup almonds, toasted 1 cup dried cranberries (I use 1/2 cup) 1/2 cup celery, diced 1/4 cup chopped green onions, white and green parts 1/2 cups chopped green bell pepper Dressing: 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 tablespoon sweet pickle relish 1 tablespoon honey mustard 1 tablespoon honey Salt and pepper Combine cabbage, almonds, cranberries, celery, green onions, and green pepper in a large bowl. Combine all dressing ingredients, adding salt and pepper to taste, and refrigerate until ready to serve. Pour dressing over slaw just before serving. Stir well.

Yall really like it when we talk about our meetings and all the fun topics we hit on..we make it a habit not to talk much about the KT or the KTers Okay Glenda your turn to pop in and us line up a day...I am thinking Thursday...I think I am going to fix Chicken Pasta Salad as a main course...do you want warm, room temp or cold??? It tastes good any way...Maybe serve it on Romaine lettuce leaves, some watermelon, and roasted fresh asparagus. Did I fix the peanut butter pie last time???May fix that, it is Tony's favorite...or get Molly to cook chocolate chip cookies or maybe fruit muffins...Hurry & reply before I go through everything I know how to cook...LOL

Glenda, I didn't know you were going to be alone Thanksgiving. You know you would have been more than welcome here. Of course you would have had to let Luther get over his 5 minutes of elation of having company first though before he settled down. sigh I'm glad you will be dining with Carole.
