Ravencajun, could I get a little help?

Last spring my computer with XP konked out. I got Windows 8.1 on the new one. Right after that, Firefox upgrade was supposed to be sort of like Chrome (which I knew I didn't care for). I had enough trying to get used to the new Windows, so I opted to not do the FF upgrade, so I'm still using version 28.0.

I now want to upgrade to the latest but want it to look/work as much like the old 28 as possible. Can you help me to do that?

That is asked so much that firefox has a response page for it.
How to make the new Firefox look like the old Firefox

Using the classic theme restorer will help alot. I have been able to make mine very similar to how it was.

Try that and let me know how it goes.

Some people chose to go with Pale Moon browser which is a version of firefox that maintained the old look. It is very similar.

You could always install it and see how you like it and if not just uninstall or leave it as a back up.

Ravencajun: Thank you so much for your help. So far it looks good, almost exactly like before. I've tried a few of my websites with no problems. Later on, I'm going to download Pale Moon as a backup.

"self pollinate"? The flowers just fold up after a day or so and are useless for display. In my conditions the sheath on Cattleya aurantiaca will go brown and looks dried up. This happens on some of the other spring flowering Cattleyas. Sometimes having a peek will result in damage to forming buds.

Thank you seedmama & rosepedal(Barb), I am so sad right now, i spent the better part of this morning sowing my very special Japanese Morning Glories,that i wished for, and received,only to find out i shopuld have waited. Then , i sowed my KMOTGG , only to read they are very hard to germinate.I now have several containers,with good soil,doing nothing.And very precious seed some one sent to me,that i have not taken care of in the right manner. Both of these plants i wanted so badley to. Boy, am i ever happy i asked about these plants,as they were not cheep seed,i am so disapointed,but so happy, i didn't ruin any others,. So Barb, are you just lazin around today? What are you up to? I baked a ham yesterday,just waiting for hubby to come in from plowing,we got the same snow you did,to warm up some leftovers. The kitchen is a mess ha ha,containers, and soil every where,ahhhhhhhhhhhhh,smells so good. What have you WSed so far? I would suggest Avast but what do I know since my ASUS PC now appears to be bricked due to this virus. I started full scans of my spyware/malware programs last night to try to identify and clean out this virus, which I also got in the course of a recipe search, apparently from the Food Network. Unfortunately my son got up this morning, saw my netbook sitting there with the clamshell up, thought I'd left it on by accident, and shut it down. Now it won't boot, not even in safe mode. I know the winlogon.exe file was corrupted and had scheduled a boot scan in Avast, but what it does now is cycle constantly between the blue screen with a message that flashes past far too quickly for me to read it, and the windows boot screen. It never comes up. Since it was shut down before I got up this morning, I also didn't get to write down my XP license number, so even though I have access to an external DVD and an XP installation disk, I DON'T have a valid license # to enter. I fear my netbook is bricked, all because of a recipe for apple streusel pie.

I correctly identified this plant as Peperomia caperata "rosso". I happily was able to purchase a beautiful specimen of it today at a local nursery.

I upgraded then tried to go back to V28 and it automatically upgraded even though I had it to never update. That went on a few times until I read in FF help that you can run 2 versions. So I left the upgraded version on and downloaded V28 again and did a custom install to a personal folder. So far it has not been upgraded. There are a lot of people very angry at FF for over riding their settings.

Safety concerns and security protection is their concern which is why of course they put out updates and new versions.

You are very welcome gadgets, glad you were able to get it whipped into shape lol.
