My email Spam is getting more graphic.

Holy Crapola.

My email get just a little spam into the Spam folder.....1 or 2 every few days.

But today I had 5 when I first checked my email and they all had the F-bomb in it. Wow, I was shocked that the actual word would be there. And it's not like I troll sex sites etc that would attract that kind of spam.

Yeah, that word was in the subject line of a piece of junk today. And it didn't go into my spam folder, but it will next time.

That stinks. The ones I keep getting are to enlarge my penis, since I don't have one I send them on to my boss!

You should just mail them directly and tell them to change their password. That should solve all of the problems. As far as hacking GW, I doubt it. How most people phishing for passwords is by making a site that looks just like a site you intend to go to. So, you may type I the address bar: www.yahooo.com, simply an extra o. It could look just like regular yahoo, but when YouTube your user name and password in, they collect it and then sell it off to illegal pharmacies so that they can I turn spam other users. Sometimes it is even simpler to steal your username and password. Say for example you see an advertisement for a free computer or car or whatever and you click on it, or perhaps a contest for the advertised item. It may even be a complete an offer and get this prize type of situation. Anyway, no matter they way, they make you create an account on their website. So you create your username, a password, all your info etc. Well, research has proven that most people use the same username and password for almost all of their accounts, so if they have one, the. Chances are, they can figure them all out. Best thing to do is to make sure your password is difficult, at least 1 captitol letter and a number. Also, always check your address bar to make sure you typed correctly, or better yet, always use google to get to an address, as google won't let you go to a known spamming site. And the biggest thing you can do to protect your accounts and computers.....never click on attachments in a forwarded email. As a matter of fact, don't even open them..they may look innocent, but trust me, they are installing spyware I the background while you watch yet another video of a baby laughing or are looking at pictures, or what have you.

DA, no worries. Done the procrastinating thing myself before posting then find I am behind. Always better to have multiple answers as it helps give the original poster confidence perhaps. Fruitjarfla, I am not at all sure you are gaining anything by that action - assuming you rarely view the Spam box. Homebound was placed on alert as soon as the self addressed email arrived. Your method eliminates that advantage I would think.

click some more rules, most likely its not comming from .info then. .. they are faking the header but the real is there too maybe if you look at source. They are tricky to read with all the gar bage there. I dont have OE to look at but quickly looked on the web... Where the From line contains people Where the Subject line contains specific words Where the To or CC line contains people Delete it from server

Thanks for posting this, Raven. There's something I've been wondering about. I just got an email from a company 2 days ago (unfortunately, I'm forgetting which company) that alerted me to this Epsilon breach. I don't understand why it took the company that long to contact me. Is it bc. Epsilon took that long to tell them? or are different companies just making individual decisions about whether and when to contact their customers whose information was compromised? It's very upsetting to think any of these companies - Epsilon or the individual companies who have my name and email address - are taking the liberty to make their own decision about whether to inform me - and how much to disclose. Shouldn't some official regulatory office (not sure if this would be the FCC or what) be stepping in here and telling Epsilon and the effected companies what they must disclose to people and how they have to handle it. It just seems as if every company has had it's own discretion in how to handle this. Not a single company that contacted me told me anything substantial or helpful. All communications have had the feeling of "we're covering our a** by telling you that there's been a breach" - but we don't really want to tell you the details of how you might be effected - and we're really not going to give you meaningful advice about how you might need to handle this. I opened a letter addressed to my husband today. Inside was a catalog of porn movies. I tossed it out. The poor man is 65, has multiple sclerosis and is basically bed-ridden. Believe me, he has no need to watch dirty movies.

For a while I was getting messages on the same day to enlarge my penis as well as my breasts! Guess they wanted to cover all possibilities.

Lately I've been getting ads for building materials. Recently got one for a discount on forklifts. I live in a third floor apartment! How did they ever get my name???

I don't open the junk. AOL puts it in a spam folder and I quoted from the titles. Never, never do I open this stuff.

Yahoo has a spam folder, too. I just went and checked mine and it's really weird. I have 3 or 4 e-mails about new roofs--and our HOA is replacing our roof, probably next week since they're right across the street today.

Now how the heck did they know that? As far as I remember, I haven't mentioned it anyplace lately.

It's actually very cute.....it's a Halloweenie picture. But I had better not take the chance...... :)

That word is often in the subject line, you don't need to open the email to see it.
I got a the new roof one a few times too.
Just told DH the other day I am so disgusted, I am not only getting the enhancement emails for both men and women, NOW I am getting invites to meet "other senior singles"! LOL ;)

Might be a good idea to resist sending those enlargement messages to your boss, if you've ever heard anyone refer to him as the (more naughty) five-letter-word for penis (starts with "p", ends with "k") ...

... as it might put him on track to become an even bigger one!

Besides that I got a announcement from my bank stating that they had upgraded the privacy notice. I did not like something I saw, so called the bank. Yep, it was phis hing and he had me forward it to the bank and suggested I change my name and password. It was in my regular email, not spam. Something else came in, and I deleted that also. Just have to be careful
