Report on mailed brownies

I packed up the brownies I made for bro-in-law. The Glad container I bought held almost a 9 X 13 pan of them. I lined the container with parchment paper, just wide enough to fit it length ways with long overhang on each end. Then I cut the brownies to fit in the container, snuggly, in one piece. Then I put two layers of waxed paper, slightly crumpled, for cushioning, between the layers, and put the overhang parchment paper on top, which could be used as handles to lift the whole shebang out. I did frost the bars, but got an idea, and crushed chocolate sandwiches into crumbs and put that all over the frosting. Loyd said they arrived in good condition and the frosting didn't stick to anything...except the brownies they were supposed to stick to. In the cardboard box, I surrounded the Glad container with paper-back books. It was a heavy parcel and cost a bit to mail, but he was real happy to get it. Loyd said he was feeling strong, self control-wise, so he quickly re-wrapped most of the brownies and put them in the freezer.....but he knows where they are!

Thanks again, KT friends for all of your advice and suggestions on this matter.
