OH, dear Marilyn, you really don't want to know...and I just realized that Thanksgiving is next week.

Goodness Sue, you had a busy week. Same here, we are always so amazed that in our retirement we have so much to do, have no idea how we had time to work each day. This week we had sleepovers with the grands, dance lessons, went to school one day to have lunch with one of the grands, haircuts , shopping, church, dinner with friends. Looking forward to this coming week with all of our family. Our holidays are normally pretty laid back, our kids and their families do all the preparing so that makes it great for us older folks. Oh, I do have laundry today, so guess I better get up from here and get busy.

What is a butter burger???

I'm getting ready to take some food to the Women's Shelter. Potatoes were on sale yesterday for 49 cents for five pounds, so DH and I bought six bags, plus stuffing, chicken broth, cream of chicken soup, hot cocoa mix,Betty Crocker cake mix and frosting mix. They are always so appreciative of anything we donate, so we make that our main project for the year. When we get home, I must finish cleaning my bedroom closet and the guest room. The weather is sunny and beautiful today. I will spend some time outside planting onions and some leafy greens. Busy day here!

Hubby and I are working on my computer as it went down and we tried to get a husband of a friend to help, but he never called back. Yes he is busy with his own business, but I was going to pay him. Oh well! Since DH built it he is pretty knowlegable, but this was a real training session. DD, who lives on the other half of our duplex is fixing Thanksgiving as GD is unable to do so due to the fact she is have our GGD 3 year old birthday party two days later and works full time.
Won't have to drive very far--just walk next door.
Hope to have simple dinner, but you know how that goes.

lunchlady, I think a Butter Burger is what Culvers call their burgers. Had a bunch of those restaurants new to my area about 4 years ago, they popped up all over the place in Mn. They so have good burgers and shakes, love their onion rings too.

What have I been doing. After seeing those Hoarders shows it got me motivated to throw and donate a bunch of stuff. Also built a fire under hubby's butt if he doesn't help it will all be thrown away. Still have stuff I really don't need but can't seem to get rid of. Two sets of Noritake China that were MIL from the 60's and a really cool set of bar ware made by Culver, about 20 pieces, from the 60's.

Work mostly, had Wednesday off and spent the day cleaning the carpets, doing laundry and dishes. Yesterday I had a class for work. Off today, spent it driving the girls to school this morning and then going back to nap so I would be rested before going to the movie tonight. Been doing laundry and am getting ready to wash some dishes. I've been doing them by hand to save money-electric and water. My bills have been outrageous since having two extra people in the house...or one depending on if Alex is here or not.

Have to leave in a little over an hour to pick up the girls from school. We'll eat a quick dinner and go to the theater so we can get good seats. Then I have to pick up Alex at his dorm and bring him home.

Work the next four days. I swear they are trying to kill me! No days off in a row this week and then working four in a row.

Steak and Shake's Wisconsin Butter Burgers in my notion are much better than Culver's. I have had them before. I don't know if there is butter in the burgers at Steak and Shake's but the hot bun is spread with melted butter and so yummy.

Besides cooking & laundry? lol I went to the thrift store, had a $10 off coupon and SCORED! Got an Andrea by Sadek plate in pristine condition....free!

Mostly coughing and wheezing.

Poor Carol--I had that the first part of the month and I hate to tell you but it lasted for what seemed like forever. Then Harry got it :( That coughing was terrible.

I've been making endless lists and firming up the TG menu. Today we did all the grocery shopping and found room for all the extra stuff holidays call for. Glad that's over.

Other than that it's just the ususal cleaning, laundry, bill paying and meal fixing.

Can't wait to see my "baby" grandson for Thanksgiving--yeah, right. He's 14 and 5'll". But he's still my baby!

Just working. I never do anything else until the weekend.

I just spent over an hour this afternoon with my telephone co trying to get my DSL and internet connections back up. fianlly It's awful not having the internet available when you want it.

This week I finished 32 hot pads for Christmas gifts. Just have to press them, tie the ribbon around the sets and add the tag. I finished 8 washcloth gnome babies for the greatgrandkids and a friend's little baby granddaughter and today I started making all of my Christmas cards....that will be at least 100 of them. This besides laundry, dishes, running the vac, etc.

I am pendeling between two houses. Once I am cleaning up to make it more fit to live in, and at the other I am weeding out stuff, and packing my belongings.

Got the kitchen and my bedroom packed, except the water bed. But that is drained, just needs to be dismantled.

Should be able to move every thing out after Thanksgiving.

Ive been trying to get things ready for turkey day,washing turkey dishes,cleaning because I have dialysis ,sunday,tues and Friday,doesnt leave me much time.
