That's a lot of cooking Sue. I had a very good week, mostly due to such nice weather. I lunched out twice and went to coffee with some other retirees from school. I puttered around the house and yard. I potted some plants and placed them around. I always enjoy picking out my annuals and am using some different ones this year. It is too soon to put anything in the ground here. I spent a couple hours this morning cleaning out the underbrush from our lilac bushes. It feels so good to be outside and accomplish things.

I've been doing too much work at work! (new director in our office). The ice went off the lake here in N. MN just two weeks ago so I'm itching to get outside and make the yard look like spring again! Hope it stops raining today, and I'll do just that. Everyone enjoy the weekend!

Sue, I am always amazed at the wonderful cooking you do, and wonder if that is typical of the 'farm wives' in our vast farming areas. (my long lost relatives) I do remember summers in Ohio..on the farm... and the great meals put out for the 'threshers' and comunity events; but I was only 10 or so. Anyway, I wish I COULD bake a cherry pie (what's that song...Can you bake a Cherry Pie, no I cannot), and I am dragging my feet at baking a couple of loaves of Banana Bread.

Anyway... you inspire me.

We've been dodging raindrops. We had our yearly physicals this week. Still waiting to hear the results. Normal cleaning and dishes is an every day thing. Did some craft shopping too.

I haven't seen threshers since I was in the single digits, but I still vividly remember all that food, how long it took to fix/serve it, and most of all how quickly it was devoured.

Today has been busy. This morning I went for my exam and interview for my CDA certificate. I ROCKED IT!!!

This afternoon, we filmed a Kickstarter spot for a nonprofit group here in Colorado Springs.

Tomorrow afternoon, I will go and photograph a friend's new baby.

Tonight we may go to a live music event.

Next week, we will shoot a promo for a charity Daddy/Daughter dance that will be held in July.

On June 1st we are shooting a zombie crawl that will be included in a feature film.

Life is GOOD!

I started a two week consulting job last Monday morning so have not been online much this week.

Monday evening I attended a photo class.

I now volunteer for the state of California monitoring the endangered Least Tern nesting grounds at Huntington Beach so I did that last Tuesday morning. My new client was kind enough to let me honor that commitment.

Last night I attended a high school tennis team awards banquet for the boys my husband coaches.

Today I took a photo class and tomorrow we are celebrating Mother's Day since my daughter couldn't make it to town last weekend. Monday is her 28th birthday so we are celebrating that as well.

Went to the eye Dr. and got good checkup. Both cataracs and glaucoma still very small. Good eye pressure and Doc said see you in 6 months. Had good weather, and rain off and on. Farmers still trying to get crops in and may not get wheat in this year. Snow and cold weather really put everything behind. Trees just coming out. Bad weather south of me. Lots of colds going around. Taking muffins to church tomarrow for confirmation kids.

I went to England on Wednesday and got back yesterday...shopped for my little Rileybear and his mama and brought candy back for hubster and sons!

I baby sit my 7 mo old GD. My son took a day off to spend time with her so I did some odd jobs around the house. I did some touch up painting, fixed the doghouse roof and washed some curtains. Yesterday I had lunch with my DD and 3 year old GD. I bought some edging stones for the garden and got them placed. Today I am going to church with my mother, and we will go to a play in the afternoon.

I played bridge three days in a row and and had dinner at a friend's house one evening. I also had my yearly physical and met with my personal trainer. My daughter came home this weekend with her dog and we went out to dinner on Saturday. My life is full of all play and no work. I love it.
