I have enough Irish blood in me to remember my Grandpa doing jigs around the dining room table. LOL My Great Grandma Paul on my Mom's maternal side was an Irish Kennedy, My Grandpa's Scottish clan was banished to Ireland for sheep poaching which is why his last name started with an McC instead of a MacC. You can tell we have a lot of "black Irish" (mix of Spanish and Irish) genes in our blood - well not mine but those of my Mom and her siblings and most of my siblings. They are lucky and have darker skin and dark hair while myself and my brother Donald were the fair haired, rosey cheeked children. My Mom and her siblings were born in Scotland. There is also Irish blood on both sides of my Dad's family. Although he and 2 of his siblings were born in Canada my Grandpa, Grandma and my Uncle were born in England. Anne

Nope - Primer Class ... started at Easter, went to First Class in that fall. The Jr. and Sr. each of 2nd, 3rd & 4th ... ... for eight classes in all. One-room rural school, less than half mile walk from home - Miss Jean Abbott, a nice lady, was the teacher throughout. Many rural schools scattered around the country - no school buses then. Fast-learner senior kids helped the junior kids with their work - partly to keep them out of mischief, possibly? How would you like to manage eight groups at the same time in one room? When our children were in elementary school, they started this wonderful new concept - four classes in one room, separated by dividers, with a teacher for each. I said that it smelled a lot similar to parts of the old one-room school, to me. ole joyful P.S. Since the "definately" that I see around here so frequently is definitely not part of my vocabulary, is that the modern way of spelling ... with our way being sort of dinosaurish? o j

At home...biscuits and gravy

Out...Corned beef hash (the real deal), eggs over medium and wheat toast with lots of orange marmalade.

Sunday is not a special breakfast day for me. I like breakfast food at night. At night I like steak and eggs,pork chops and eggs or a Jack cheese omelet with a side of bacon and an english muffin.

If I do go out for a morning breakfast my favorite is a Huevos Burrito at a local place. A large flour tortilla stuffed with two scrambled eggs and house made chili topped with Jack cheese and Spanish sauce with chopped tomatoes and sliced avocado on the side.

I eat the same ole, same ole year around. I like it, and I can function well, (biking included) when I "fuel up" with it. :)

My breakfasts are Muesli.

French toast casserole! With a side of sausage, please, and a bowl of fruit and a mimosa. OK, I'll settle for OJ. lol

normal breakfast is a toasted plain bagel ... woo hoo!

but special days, we go out on a weekend and I'll have a belgian waffle with hash browns. YUM!

If I go out for breakfast, I usually order a strawberry waffle. At home, if I am cooking for others, I like to make a Dutch pancake which is also called Dutch babies.

I really do not eat breakfast unless DH and I go out for breakfast.
And it would have to be sausage links rolled up in a pancake.

I love having a Spanish omelette, stuffed with fried onions and peppers, tomatoes, mushrooms and a spicy sauce. Served with home fries and toast.

Haven't had that in many moons. Loved that kind of breakfast. Though not often.
