I had between 50 and 60 raccoons and 35 cats.

Two feral hogs showed up too.

Three years ago we had zero. The next year we had 5 or 6.
Last year we had around 20.

They're back!!! We started out with 150 packets of M&Ms and Tootsie Roll Pops. We have 5 Tootsie Roll Pop left in the bottom of the bowl.

I'm thrilled. Next year we'll decortate again. We stopped because it seemed a waste the last few years.

This is our first year in our new house, so we were not sure how many kids, but we ended up with well over 75, husband was so happy, he has never did this before(Nasty exwife), Next year he wants to go all out and have the best candy on the block and decorate lol

We had only 3 in just one group. After 8:30 I checked to see how many neighbors had their lights on, and only the people next to me did. No wonder the kids did not come down our one block street!

We had about 25 and at least a half dozen of those made a second trip through. I gave them candy the second time, but told them that twice was the limit. They gave me the strangest looks. I don't think they thought I would notice that they'd been to my door earlier.

We live on a busy street, but we hardly had any. Now I'm stuck with a whole box of choc. bars (94) to get rid of. They're too tempting to keep around.

We only had about ten but they were cute and very polite. We were prepared for more than that. Now what do I do with all this candy?????

I had about 50 which is way down. I normally have over 100 kids. LOL I thought for sure I would be shutting my door early because I knew I hadn't bought enough juice boxes because I only bought 80. I don't buy candy because I will eat it so I give out no added sugar real juice boxes, the kids are so excited to get them and run to their parents "I got a juice box" LOL

I usually sit on the porch so the kids don't have to climb the big steps in their costumes but it was a little chilly this year so I stayed in. My dog Loki was having a great time running to the door to see the kids. I had a Halloween dish towel I bought for a dollar at Walmart hanging on my stove so when I noticed how excited the kids were to see Loki I tucked the dish towel under his collar and he wore it as a cape, the kids loved it!

I really enjoy seeing all the costumes. My favourite this year was 2 parents and their little boy. Mom wore her wedding dress, Dad a tux and their little boy was the ring bearer. My other favourite was a boy dressed as Ozzy Osbourne.

We have a lot of trick or treaters! We handed out candy so each trick or treater received only once piece. Two hours and five minutes after the first one hit our door, all of our candy was gone. We even dug out 10 individual size packets of dried fruit and three bags of microwave popcorn, the Gary gave the last one at the door a dollar (because he had nothing else to hand out) before he was finally able to get a break to shut off the porch light.

Total trick or treaters - over 385! Wonder how many we'd have had if we'd had enough candy to keep handing out until the town's scheduled trick or treat hours were over at 8 pm (2 hours after we shut off the light). It does slow down a lot later in the evening, so I'm guessing maybe 500 or so.

3 and I had a tootsie pop and a tootsie roll so far today!!!

We only had about 25 this year. Seems our numbers are way down lately. Now we have a whole lot of left over candy bars to get rid of.

Living in the country we never have any. However since it was Amber's birthday dinner her neighbors and their two little ones came in the afternoon. They were so cute the little boy under two years old was Santa Claus with a big belly, the little girl,3 was the Littlest Mermaid and their mother was The Red Nosed Reindeer. We had candy on hand so they helped themselves. There is candy here, I never buy candy, but daughter Cheryl did. It won't last long with men around here working.

We had 22 - honestly I think I'd rather hand them one dollar bills than have candy leftover. We always tell the kids to take a handful of candy and you should see how excited they get - one child told me that I was the best house ever!

None, I forgot to turn on my porch light, but we never have more than 3 or 4 if we turn them on.

Maybe 50? Not really sure. It was really crowded this year, but lots of kids skip our block, since we're the only house on it that gives out candy.

We didnt get any,our farm is in middle of 40 acres I guess they dont trust comming back.

We got 52, last year we had 47 so it was a normal Halloween.

We had 6. Our house is at the end of the street in a remote area with only 12 houses that are spread pretty far apart. We have had none for the last 2 years because there were no kids on the street. Some young families have moved in, and it was fun to see little goblins again!

I handed out mini bags of microwave popcorn so we wouldn't be tempted by leftover candy. The kids loved it!

We probably had around 40. My kids trick or treated both nights because some people here did Saturday night instead of Sunday. All the kids had costumes. I was a bit peeved with the teenagers. We got a greedy bunch that helped themselves to big handfuls. The little kids were nicer than that. On the bright side most of our candy is gone except for what the kids got.

I think we had about 20 this year!!! =) Most years we plan for about 7....although I always buy enough for 40! :D
We are in a very small town....I didn't know a single kid that came to the door! Our street is off the beaten path, so we usually don't get more than the neighborhood kids...didn't see a single one of those tho! LOL

I went with my DIL to her daycare ladies house. They have a nice housing addition where they live. All the people get into it it big time. They dress up, decorate their garages, have their firepits going and play music. It is so neat. We took the wagon for the 20 month old twins and the stroller for the baby. They loved it. There were kids everywhere... What fun!!!!

The past 3 years we didn't have any kids come around so this year I didn't even turn the lights on.

I miss seeing the little ones all dressed up, having fun running from house to house.

We don't get any kids on this block. Maybe it is because we are right across the street from the cemetery. I miss seeing the little ones.

we ended up w/ a couple hundred, alot more than last yr! we almost ran out of candy, last yr we ended up w/ most of 1 bag left, NOT good in our house LOL...we always get the big bags of good candy bars so we do not need that to pack on the pounds LOL. we did only a small amount of outdoor decorating, no time, next yr we'll go back to full decor. we have neighbors who go all out, everyone loves it! ~ liz

Had a couple of owls fly by, but that's about it.

We've lived here for 17 years and have never had one T or T'er, it's too dark and scary out here in the woods. LOL

Nobody here either but I'm not surprised. I had dozed off between about 5 and 6PM but if anyone had rung the doorbell or knocked I'd be awakened so I'm sure nobody was around. I didn't stock up because I didn't expect many so I'm not sitting with a bunch and I decided to get some small bags of chips so if there was nobody or only a few they would be better to have around. Years past it's been limited numbers of late even with nice weather and this year it was in the low 40s/high 30s so that chases a lot of them away these days. Plus around here they're doing more parties and the neighborhood has changed so there's not a lot of trick or treat aged kids around right now. But some years they've been bringing them by car, van or bus from who-knows-where to hit an area. Walk, like we did! Earn it! Burn off the candy! :)

we had one very cute little boy from down the street and that was it, I begged him to take as much as he wanted he took 4 pieces, last year we had maybe 8. I am surprised I thought this neighborhood would have more but it is a more mature area with a lot of elderly folks.

I did have a big fat possum show up out back, I had put out some food for a mother cat and her kittens that have been coming to our back yard for the water in our water bucket, the darn possum ate all the food.

I have a ton of candy in the house now and being diabetic that is not good! My cleaning lady comes tomorrow and she is going to score big on candy LOL

I had about 25; I didn't keep a strict count. It was more than last year though.

Minimal decorations. I had one big carved pumpkin (he turned out kinda cute) and eight metal luminaries with happy pumpkin faces lit up on the front porch steps.

I had to be extra careful and help the little ones up and down the steps between the lumanaries so they wouldn't burst into flame. LOL (Note to self...think before using open flame candles next year.) I also had a lighted full moon with cat silhouette hung in the window.

After 8 p.m. the kids really slowed down and I still had two bags of unopened Hershey's miniatures. About 8:15 two 10-12 year old boys rang the doorbell. I told them it was their lucky day. Each of them got a complete, unopened, all-for-himself bag of candy. Their expressions were priceless. I got a dozen or more "Thank you; thank you; thank you!"s.

I let each child take "big handfulls" of the candy. Some had such tiny hands I "helped" them with my handfulls. One little girl said "Why are you giving me all your candy?" I explained I couldn't have it in the house.

I got nice "thank you"s from everyone except for one girl.

Only about 20-25 here. It gets lower each year it seems. Mainly very tiny kids with their parents. None of the 10 -15 year olds we used to get. The adults had more fun on street decorating and turning up the sound effects. Some of the homes were really well done!

You would think that since I drive the bus out here we would get all the kids in the area..

I only had 1 on Sat night and then 2 babies last night. I asked several of my bus kids why they didn't come to my house and they said they were afraid Peyton would scare them..LOL of course he would have and if he didnt his dad would have..

My brother stayed at my house, while we took the boys out. My brother said only 15 came to the door but my neighbor said it was more like 40. (and he wonders why I won't leave my kids with him) :0)
