I Have A New Granddaughter!

DS called to tell us the baby arrived yesterday afternoon. Her name is Mio (no middle name yet) and she weighed 7#. We forgot to ask how long she was.

DDIL is doing well and he said Jake seems to like his baby sister.

Steve sounded a little overwhelmed.....Jake, who was two in August, has never been away from him Mom. Jake, my DDIL and Mio will be going to stay with her mother for a few weeks after the hospital stay, which is usually about four days in Japan.

Hopefully DS will send pictures soon.

Darn, I wish they lived closer.

Oh...a sweet little girl....and if she looks anything like Jake did...she is going to be adorable...I hope you get to see her soon.

Hi! Grandma, Congratulations! I do not have either, even thou I have a lot of the old ones. I hope you find one, and I will keep looking for you. We were going to do a trade last fall, but decided to wait until spring. However, the daylilies are up about an inch and not much at this time yet. Hello! Congratulations on your new granddaughter!! My husband hybridizes daylilies and has one he's named "Haven" which he named for Haven Home, a friend's kitty shelter. I'll check on the color. What color/style are you most interested in, BTW? He has bred some which are the size of Oriental Lilies and smell as fragrant as they do. Congratulations Grandma! Do you have other gkids besides Jake and Mio? I couldn't stand it if ALL my gkids lived so far away.
