For the ones having trouble, what browser(s) are you using? What firewall? Spywareblaster? Any filters, modified hosts files or anything? What maintenance regiment are you using? How often do you scan for malware, viruses and the like? Doing Windows Updates regularly? Just usinging the theory if enough people tell their doctors they don't feel well they'll make us all well again isn't very practical if you want it to get better. Sometimes it's better to use the old joke as the philosophy - It hurts when I do this... then don't do that! Maybe you need to do something about the condition instead of expecting them to do everything?

Heres what I am doing I removed my deck , you need a rubber bungie strap ,2 eyebolts with locknuts and washers, now with the dek off of the mower remove the blade break spring, next ensure the blade belt control lever swings freely,now insert one end of the bungie strap into the hole on the blade control lever(where the pto spring goes) now stretching the bungie cord (yes the blade control lever will engage) find a path clear of any moving belts ,pullys ect to the outside of the deck . Now find a flat spot and drill a hole for one of the eyebolts and install the eyebolt,now remove the S hook from the bungie cord and push the bungie cord through the eyebolt(again ensure that you have a clear path nothing will touch the bungie strap when the blades are turning) now find a spot on the foot rest (clear under and on top ) install the other eyebolt. now put the s hook back on the free end of the bungie cord and install the blade brake spring. Now if you hook the bungie cord to the eyebolt on the footrest the blades should activate and when you unhook the bungie cord the blade brake will engage stopping the blades.

I watched some videos on the spotted lanternflies and none suggested chemical pesticides on the little suckers and I don't know why, but I do suggest you use it on your maple. I use Permethrin which is a synthetic Pyrethroid as my go to pesticide and it should kill the laternflies and their nymphs. The only thing it won't kill for me is adult Colorado beetles but I do use it to control many other bugs and one spray will last for many weeks and isn't hard to find. It is currently registered and sold in a number of products such as residential indoor and outdoor insect foggers and sprays, treated clothing, flea products for dogs, termite treatments, agricultural and livestock products, and mosquito abatement products. Permethrin is the most widely used mosquito adulticide in the U.S. and is used to treat 9 to 10 million acres annually (out of 32-39 million acres treated with a mosquito adulticide). Permethrin’s widespread use can be attributed to its low cost, high effectiveness, low incidence of pest resistance, and broad labeling."
