LOL Next time say 'hi' and that will help you not feel so stalker-ish...maybe. Ok, so here's a small list of the other adenium groups I'm in. Keep in mind that some of these are in a language I have no understanding of but still admire the pictures. Wow, thanks! I've been enjoying (well, most of the time) the company of my 5.5 y.o. granddaughter, Brekken since Sunday after Church. It's spring break. She didn't want to stay home all day with her step-dad and brother. Dad's not working so DD doesn't have daycare any longer. She goes home later today. I can get back to my normal routine! Di

I, of course, had heard a lot of references to Facebook. They all pertained to how great it was to reconnect with friends and family. I didn't know there were "hidden" mysteries that came with it. So I joined up, and right away found some relatives that would be good to hear from. I began to realize I was also gaining "friends" I never heard of. I have no idea who most of those friends are. As I said before, I think Facebook should come with a tutorial. A lot of the terms are not self-explanatory. I googled and learned a few tid-bits here and there. One was the use of the Hide button, but that only works on the Home page, not the page of a Friend. So there is no way to my knowledge to remove something from another's page. Seems like there should be, it is MY Facebook. Anyway, I have gone in and removed every name except my nieces and nephews. I left X, because I don't have the heart to delete him. I know that if he did do the quiz, and doesn't want to admit it after seeing the result, that he had no idea what would have come of taking the quiz. And that the "F" word would be blasted on that page in BIG red letters on a black background. Facebook should be ashamed. I didn't join Facebook looking for games to play or quizzes to take. My purpose was to locate and reconnect with family. For that I think Facebook will be fine. It is much better than emailing. If anything similar happens again, I will give it up completely. Thanks for helping me through this. Sue

Woodnymph, congrats on the successful move. I am a recovering book addict. Do you think maybe many of us were scarred by reading Fahrenheit 451 at a young age? Getting rid of books feels sinful. Still I have forced myself to do so. Moved into my house with 48 boxes of books, bought steadily for the next 15 years, but moved last year with 25 boxes of books. I spent 2 or 3 years sifting through my library. First were the light novels I knew I'd never reread. They were easy to get rid of. When I realized I didn't miss them at all, I found more novels I knew I didn't need to keep. The more I recycled, the easier I found getting rid of the next ones. Over the years I'd accumulated tons of worthy books I could never get into, but was sure that one day I would. Those were the hardest to sell/give away. I had to reassess who I was before I could do it. I kept gardening books, cooking books, history books, reference books, and some very silly novels I enjoy rereading.
