Just got a call from Angie and she wanted to thank each and everyone one of you that she got a card from today. She said the nurse brought in this HUGE envelope with all of these cards. You could just hear her smiling from ear to ear on the phone. So thanks again for helping out a friend in need and keeping their family in your thoughts and prayers! You guys sure are truly amazing!

Don't people send thank you cards any more?

I always send TY cards, even if just a note. It's the way I was brought up. I guess I didn't do a very good job with my 2 daughters. They and others in their 20's and 30's. seem to appreciate gifts and being remembered at birthdays, etc because they do verbally thank everyone but they don't send anything written. My SIL recently sent an engagement gift to our nephew but got no response. She is rather P-O'd and says she plans to boycott the wedding. My guess is she sends gifts to get thank-you notes rather than as a token of her affection for young relatives.

Since you are not sending it throught the mail you could buy a pair of silkly boxers with hearts on them and then just tuck them into the card. I also like the idea of putting your pictures in it. Make coupons for him, like candle light dinner, backrub, etc. Attach candy bars or small boxes of candy on the inside of the card and put little notes that go with the type of candy like Mr. Goodbar I'm just Nutrageous over you and I get Goo Goo eyes when I see you! Good Luck and have fun!

Are you sending Christmas cards this year?

I used to send lots of cards out all the time and contact with some at this time of year only and now its no one sends cards out and I miss that alot, loved it at this time year and receiving cards daily in mailbox, now nothing. And also this special place that had beautiful good cards from England and prices fantastically low priced and would buy up lots on sale each year and lost that store twice, it was bought and then that was sold. We lost good place for cards. Also postage here is too expensive for me to do anything like that and its hard but why send out when they won't send back to you and so I gave up then. Enjoy your cards you all that receive them and give them out. kathy

I am going to be headed to Tucson for most of the day but will catch up on emails as soon as I get home. I have sent MaryAnn's address at the hospital to everyone I have heard from so far.

I am sure all these cards will cheer her up. She is one special lady.
