OT: My garden helper.
Comments (7)I've also heard and used the tomato juice and Irish spring soap to bathe them in... it worked on my black dog.. but can you imagine what my pure white puppy would've looked like?? I don't think DH would like having a pink dog!! LOL We used a mixture of baking soda, hydrogen peroxide (the type used for cuts and stuff) and dish soap.... worked like a charm and brightened her coat. The only reason she still has the smell is because she got sprayed in the face and I couldn't wash around her eyes and mouth without making her sick so I was hoping it would wear off.. but every time she gets her muzzle wet the smell is still there. Going to wash her with the deoderizing doggy shampoo and make sure I wash her well this time. ttfn Cheryl....See MoreMommy's little helper
Comments (6)my DS loved to sort laundry--I'd toss it (from across the room); he'd catch it, and shoud out which washer it went in. At 3, they get dangerous--they don't get into stuff just to get into it, but they decide that they are competent, and they want to DO things, and so they mess w/ stuff they ordinarily wouldn't. Time to teach 'em, that's what that is--give them the whys, and hows, and cautions, etc. If they can learn all the details about dinosaurs, they can learn all about laundry, etc....See MoreMy little greenhouse with my little helper. Comments (17)tkaye - Unfortunately this greenhouse is no longer made. It was made by the PBM-GROUP. The last time they made it was 2003. I got it used and had to replace a third of the glass panels. Check Craigslist for used ones or if you have a Harbor Freight close by they sell greenhouses for a very reasonable price. It is a kit that you put together. Check out the GW Greenhouse Forum. It is a great place to get information on buying and using a greenhouse. Good luck. Clare Here is a link that might be useful: Harbor Freight greenhouse...See MoreAnyone grow Santa's little Helpers?
Comments (5)You know, I think you are right kaboehm. What I noticed first about them, was that the label stated "4-6 weeks from planting to blooming." Second, I had another look at my bill yesterday. It actually said "Dasher Apple Blossom." There was no mention on the packaging that this was, or is Apple Blossom. I wonder if there is any difference between Dasher and Apple Blossom at all. One can find a boxed Apple Blossom here for as low as $5.50. In the large garden nursery I visited, the Santa's Little Helpers were selling for $18.99 + tax without a pot! I ended up paying $6.50 for this Dasher. Glad I didn't purchase it for full price!...See MoreLindsey_CA
