Cookies fresh out of the oven...and boy are they good !!!

The other day in the store I just happened to see a package of cherry flavor chips to put in cookies.

When I saw them I thought ...ummmm I bet that would be good in a soft chocolate cookie.

I found a recipe online and gave it a try....

They are really good.

Here's the recipe...

Soft Chocolate Cookies.

Ingredients:

1 cup butter, softened

1 1/2 cups sugar

2 eggs

2 cups all purpose flour

2/3 cup cocoa

3/4 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 package of cherry flavor chips.

Directions

In a large mixing bowl. cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture and mic well. Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until easy to handle. Roll into 1 inch balls. Place 2 inches apart on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350° for 8 - 10 mins. or until the edges are firm. Remove to wire racks.

You can dust them with powdered sugar if you want...I didn't
