Did Anyone Have Supper This Evening?

I have been gone most of the day and by the time it was supper time, I was too tired to fix much for myself so I had a bowl of cereal. I had a nice chicken salad, with apples, cranberries, and pecans from Wendy's for lunch. What did you have this evening?

We all had egg sandwiches. We mowed today and I was too tired to cook too!

Home made whole wheat bread spread with cream cheese, spiced up with paprika, pepper, garlic salt and celery salt.

Nice tall glass of milk to go along.

I had a pasta left over dinner for lunch.

Zack, I'm amazed you have blooms that far north. I guess it isn't surprising if Mad Gallica also has blooms. Yes, Kate. I often think of Ann in Tennessee being able to grow Chinas, Teas and Noisettes in her zone 6 garden. For me, it is a bit too cold. I only have a couple of these tender beauties. Like they say in real estate-location, location, location! As to the blooms, I'm still getting odd colors. My Prairie Harvest that is usually lemon yellow has pink stripes. We are expecting snow flurries this weekend. That will probably put an end to the roses. Barbara

does anyone grow Evening Primrose?

I have a packet of "Common Evening Primrose" I was going to plant in a bare area that has high red clay content and was looking for how to plant it in the seed form but now after reading these I might bury it in a time capsule somewhere under ground. But my packet says "Oenothera lamarckiana" and I've not seen that scientific name in any of these threads. Mine came from Victory Seeds which is pretty reliable source for me. Would it be ok for a remote area on a farm where nothing but scrub pines grow to cover up red clay bank? Heck, I was going to plant some in a flower garden at the house.

Your post reminds me how out of touch I have become with this kind of problem (and I am just posting about a possible win install too). However like you, I remember some things from my past and I suspect that your problem is probably a simple fix. At least for the time being, I think reinstalling windows is extreme and since you have a second working computer you should wait for some of these other clever folks to help. I'll bet there is some utility to help with this but if not, there must be a way to mnually link particular extensions to specific programs, and for the time being you would probably only need to make a couple of links (but don't ask me how).

Better late than never, I guess. I didn't eat tonight either. Harry ate a pear. Got up at 5 so we could be ready and get to VA in G-ville by 9. Finally got out of there about 12:30 and stopped on the way home at my favorite restaurant, the Horse and Hound, for a late lunch. It was 2:30 by the time we got home and then I took down the outside decorations and then took a nap. Didn't wake up until after 5. Lunch was a prime rib sub with lettuce, tomato, french fried onion rings and some kind of good sauce. Served with cole slaw and cold beer! Ahh! The meat was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Very filling. Have to say that even though I'm not hungry, all your dinners sure sound good.

LOL! I was supposed to make beef stew with the leftover roast. Forgot I had a parent teacher conference and I had leftover spinach enchiladas instead. The kids had microwave stir fry rice meals.

My boss was traveling today so I took advantage and played catch up on a bunch of stuff! Before I knew it hubby was home and I hadn't even thought of supper yet. So I dug thru my recipes and we had low carb pizza! It was great!

Tomato soup and ham biscuits. It's really cool this evening and that soup was perfect!

rolled tacos(bought frozen) but shredded lettuce, diced a tomato, and had a fat free sour cream from kraft(not bad)added fat-free refried beans...we often just nuke them but tonight did then in the oven...much better.

DH cooked some chicken breasts and veggies on the grill. I also made a batch of cornbread. Pretty tasty! We made a double batch so that will probably be Friday's dinner too!

Wings and celery from BW3's DH got the wrong wings for him, way too hot to eat, and he loves hot stuff.

Take out pazones from Pizza Hut. My first time. They're pretty good when you inhale them, yelling, "You stupid $$#&^", cough, choke. "Yeah, BABY!"

I'm going to start a Build a Duck store and wipe out Build a Bear store.

I had been shopping and brought home one of those $1 chicken sandwiches from McDs. Later I finished off what was left of a carton of Chocolate Cookie Crumb ice cream. You know how it is when there is too much to eat, but not enough to leave in the carton?

Those little sandwiches are really good.

Now I'm snacking on Graham Crackers.

I'm not a big eater, so often my meals are like that.

Spent the day babysitting our nephews sweet little boy!
I am just beat! LOL Supper was nuked "baked" potatoes
with left over beef stroganoff. Not too bad!

I went out to George Webb for supper. Had a big bowl of chili. Hope I don't "raise the roof" tonight.

I love those Wendy's salads! Last night I made breaded pork chops with onions and apples, stuffing, a salad, and crescent rolls. I also made a big pot of spaghetti for the kids to eat over the next couple of days while I work.

Had Texas chili....made with ground beef, cumin, cayenne, chili powder, etc, jalapenos, tomatoes and sauce. No kidney beans in this recipe, which is why I like it better than regular chili.

It has a real kick, so I always make rice to eat with it. Had some aging romaine so made a Greek salad to go with it, and garlic bread.
