The only new intro for 2006, that I am aware of, is 'Blushing Bride', an ES variant. It joins the list of currently available "remondent" cultivars, ES, Penny Mac, David Ramsey, Decatur Blue and Oak Hill(which is the only one of the group, other than ES, that flowered on new wood in my garden this year. Both are still in bloom. ES still has many buds, but they will be history after the first freeze. For Lace-caps, have only 3 that set scattered buds and flowers on new growth, 2 are H. serrata's, 'Shichidanka' and an un-named cultivar grown from cuttings provided by Cristopher Lloyd(UK)(the Plantsman, not the Actor!) and H. mac. 'Madame Emile Mouillere'. Yep, I have one that has (both) white mops and blue L-C's on the same plant. Something in the water? soil? Can't be soil ammendments or fertilizer, I don't use either on my Hydrangeas.Must be in the Genes. Rb

Thank you Ann. I posted and it did not appear for at least 10 minutes so I posted again. The edit feature did not allow me to delete the double comment. Happy New Year! Teresa

I was the oldest of four children and the last one pregnant. I think my parents had just about given up on a grand baby from me. When I finally got pregnant (at 35), I gave them a Christmas card from our baby due the following August! I had tears as Mom opened the card.

Well my son just called to tell me that it is for sure a staph infection and because it's still pretty red up towards his back he will be in there for at least 2-3 more days. It's not in his blood stream or bones, so that's good news. And we can go see him! My youngest son just went up there, he'll be happy to see his "gunkle" LOL(uncle)! I have to wait for papa to get home from and these other kids to leave then I get to go see him. My son said he's getting pretty antsy in the room he's in. It's hard to keep a toddler cooped up in a small room. Plus he still has the IV so he can't do a lot of moving around. This is not going to be a fun week for sure. :O( Thank you for asking about him.....I can't wait to go see him! I'm going to get him some little cars and trains to play with while he's in there, I can't imagine what it's going to be like for him stuck in a tiny room for days! Granny to the rescue ...I hope!
