I use it with my husband when he is on longer international business trips. For most anything else the phone is good enough for me.

I use it when I am on vacation in another country to call my sisters. Much cheaper than using the phone.

I watch my grand kids on skype, speak with my daughter and son in law in New Mexico, my sister in Germany, and the other one in Australia, my former exchange student from Germany, my sister in law in Georgia and a very good friend in northern Oklahoma.

I have it installed in hopes DS and DDIL would use it so I could see Jake and Mio.....but so far, DS has been less than cooperative.
Maybe one day it will happen.

I use it to speak to my daughter and other family in Nebr who only have cell phones. I live in England. It works pretty well, sometimes we have freeze ups or interferance but over all a great way to see them.
The Jetson's cartoons are coming to life (remember how they used a tv/computer screen for phone calls)..........now I want a little space ship car and the ability to push a button to cook, clean, dress me etc!!

I use Yahoo Instant Messenger and Skype on occasion. Not a lot of use for it but they both work quite well and being free, that's even better.
