Yes it is. What the heck did he have against that little boy? What a slim ball. I hope he gets it big time.

It is so terribly sad. I think he was killed because he could identify the killer. Why he didn't kill him right there with the others, I'm not sure. Maybe after what happened he managed to get out of the house and run and they came after him in the vehicle? We'll probably never know. He looked like such a sweet little boy.

I just do not understand what kind of neighbours can hear gunshots going off and not a single person calls the police. The original news reports said that neighbours heard gunshots shortly after 9 in the morning and yet it was Jennifer Hudsons sister who walked into the house a little after 3 in the afternoon and found her mother dead in the living room. She 'backed out of the house' and called the police, who found her brother in a bedroom. So in six hours, nobody called police? Who does that? I live in what some would consider an "unsafe" neighbourhood (anyone here who has ever lived in Calgary knows where I live now LOL), and yet if someone were to hear gunfire, someone would call the police to investigate.

My heart goes out to Jennifer and her sister.

Well if nobody ever calls the police, then no wonder stuff like this can happen. Crazy........

This is so sad...just when things are going so well for her. I just can't imagine how someone can do this to another human being....so very sad.

I feel so very sad for Ms. Hudson, who lost her mother, brother and nephew. And I feel even sadder for her sister, who lost her mother, brother and only child. . . . What an evil, EVIL creature that did this. May he rot in hell. . . .

You have to realize that so many live where gunshot is so common and that is why they don't phone the police as in a neighbour or city where gunshot isn't heard of and so when someone hears a gunshot, they do call the police.

I was so sad when I heard today on tv that the nephew was found and shot many times in the back and left in the SUV.

Horrific news I must say. I just caught online and immediately felt really sad when I saw beautiful Julian. I can't imagine what the family is going through now. I know God has a plan for all of us but still...why this?

It is sad and I was hoping they would find him alive. Unfortunately, unless you are familiar with Englewood, the neighbors are so accustomed to hearing gun shots that they didn't even blink. Being from the Chicago area I can tell you that Englewood (where they lived) is the most violent, gang ridden area with the highest murder rate. Jennifer begged her family to move but they refused. Every night on the news there is at least one story of someone getting killed in Englewood.

If your kids hear this story, it is a good time to talk with them about being wise in choosing whom we date and marry. There are consequences to poor decision making, consequences that we don't foresee. This story illustrates one.

So very sad for all involved. I heard this morning that Jennifer Hudson had begged her family to move away from that area and offered to help them. Her mom refused because it was 'home' to her. Absolutely tragic.

May they rest in peace, and may that animal get what he deserves.

But isn't it the boy's father that is being held on suspicion of these crimes? Then it woulnd't matter WHERE they lived.

I read that it is the little boy's stepfather (not father)who is being questioned. There wasn't any info as to whether the stepfather is currently married to the boy's mother (Hudson's sister) or was formally, or whatever.
