I've only watched season 1 of dexter...pretty good. It's odd when I find myself cheering for the serial killer...there's something attractive about characters possessing extraordinary traits and yet exhibiting weaknesses or vulnerabilities. Hence the vampire craze, perhaps. Q - I'm a really bad reader and rarely venture outside of genres I'm used to, which happen to be alternative reality fiction, near-future science fiction, anything involving supernatural things (clearly I have a problem with reality) and other social commentary related works....with that said, I almost ALWAYS enjoy what people have recommended me even though at first I'm always apprehensive over things like autobiographies and historical fiction. I like the direction this thread is heading so I'm going to shamelessly steer it towards that direction. Favorite reads, everyone? Anyone? We sure did! Hubby is a huge Beatles fan, he started playing drums when he saw Ringo on the Ed Sullivan show. Maroon 5 did an awesome job of singing the songs, as did the others. Really liked the group of guys......don't know their name, the guitar player had long blonde hair. They were terrific as well. Neither of us like Yoko. Love that Ringo and Joe Walsh are brothers-in-law......Joe married Ringo's wife's sister a few years ago. Thank you Gazania....this is the old curmudgeon speaking...what they call Country today, is just Pop, with anew title. I listen to classic country all the time and I can recognize those singers because they didn't all sound alike, not to mention look alike. Today's so-called female country singers all look the same....skinny, long blond hair, dressed like a hooker. The guys look alike as well, shaggy hair, unshaven, and sloppily dressed. I tried to watch a little of the award show, the only thing that impressed me was when the Service man came on, in the wheel chair, and the standing ovation he received, and the heartfelt song, by Trace Atkins. That brought tears to my eyes. Dottie

Dancing ran over a few minutes so it was a little later. I really thought Amanda would be the one and I am like you if he picks Shana I don't think it will ever work but I don't really think the other one will either so I am not excited about this one. Hope I am not spoiling tonights show for anyone.
