As a 13-year old, I was transfixed by their first US televised performance 50 years ago. (I've been a fan ever since)

It's coming on now.... will watch.

I loved it. Brought back memories from soooo long ago.
We have all be able to follow their lives, and it seems strange to me, that 50 years have gone by! We're reminded when events are replayed, etc., we're getting on in age too! It looks like Paul and Ringo are still friends. I'd heard, they said they would never reunite for anything.
Yoko looked strung out on something. Never cared for her.

I have been a Beatlemaniac since that day 50 years ago tonight. I have all their music and my kids grew up hearing it. I got teary when the final two sang together at the end. I miss John and George. They are the greatest group of all time and their music will go on forever. I'd kinda like to show some of today's kids what real music is.

We sure did! Hubby is a huge Beatles fan, he started playing drums when he saw Ringo on the Ed Sullivan show.

Maroon 5 did an awesome job of singing the songs, as did the others. Really liked the group of guys......don't know their name, the guitar player had long blonde hair. They were terrific as well.

Neither of us like Yoko. Love that Ringo and Joe Walsh are brothers-in-law......Joe married Ringo's wife's sister a few years ago.

I think Ringo was an only child. I believe Walsh is married to his wife's sister.

I thought the show struggled to be interesting. To me, it seemed to be more about current "stars" doing the old songs and less a show about the Fab Four.

There are many good video segments of the Beatles on Youtube. Included are the several Sullivan show appearances, live concerts, etc. Those wishing to take a peak back in time may find the many old videos there to be more interesting.

It was a really wonderful trip down memory lane (as so many things seem to be these days!) We lived in the UK before the Ed Sullivan show, and my two kids were already huge fans. It was a fun show!

I think having Walsh in the family would be a hoot, he's a riot.

We watched it and tivo'd it...played it again for my kids who neither have cable...my grandson was standing in front of the tv swaying back and forth...he's only 18 months old and already loves music!! sooo glad cause his Nana will be a rocker all of her life!
