Going in for a couple of tests in the morning

One is an ultrasound....I haven't had one of those since I was pregnant with Jeff..(he's now 32..lol) I sure hope they don't find a baby....yikes...jk.

I don't know what the other test is but dr is running tests to check to see if my heart burn is gall bladder.

They're probably doing an ultrasound of your gallbladder. I've had that. One great thing about ultrasounds, as you know, is they don't hurt. :-) Good luck with the tests, Patti.

Hello....I'm new and just caught your conversation on Sleep Apnea...I have it and I have slept with a c-pap machine for about four years now. I had some friends at the Medical supply place who made sure I got a good machine, quiet and make sure it has WATER!!!!....you will dry out without the water vapors..nothing you notice...unless you don't have it...nose, throat, mouth...everything will be like the desert without the water tank.....and ask if they can get you something called a "nasal air"...it is like an oxygen tube only a little larger for the air to go through at a steady pace. The tube is soft, it fits just inside your nose (has a two nostril fitting...very soft) and the tube then goes on both sides of your face and connects at the top. I didn't want to wear the head gear so i took some velcro and connected the two tubes and slid the velcro down until there was a tight fit....not too tight or you will cut off the air to the tube....but just tight enough to let it ride on your head. I am closterphobic (sp?) and so I don't like a mask on my face. I have never felt better after getting REM sleep. I went for years just being so tired and falling asleep every time I sat down....I snored like a freight train and my husband had a hard time sleeping. It wasnt' until I took a bus load of children to Houston and the teacher stayed up to watch the kids...she said I stopped breathing several times....nothing to play around with folks....oh and the person who is taking Effexor...for depression.....that IS what is keeping you from sleeping....I took mine at night but am having to get off of it because it is causing me to have insomnia..... I've had them planted for about 3 weeks now, they are doing great! Climbing up the twine just beautifully with little to no help from me. I will probably end up taming the "new grabbers" (I have no idea what you call them) that grow off any original vine, I am still scared they are going to end up waaaay to heavy. I planted these before researching as much as I should have, I ended up using Miracle Grow Potting Mix (I have them in planters) before I knew about them not liking fertilizer. I can tell they probably won't bloom just because the leaves are SO big and I know it's from the fertilizer. I didn't expect much from them anyways since I was so late on planting, but as long as I have some large foilage to block out my neighbor, I'm good!

Thanks to my KT friends who posted their support and "smart thoughts" (Stacy, I loved that phrase!) The test was brutal, but it's over. I won't know if I passed for another month or so. Marble testing in progress... why we're NOW not going with marble

The cost to refinish marble countertops will be based on size,condition of stone(how severe is the scracthing, etching and or staining,cracks,chips,etc)type of stone(darker stones and some limestones can be tricky to refinish)time and materials. Special pricing if we change the finish from polished to honed(easier and reasonably priced) or honed to polished(which is impossible to do to granite on site- very-difficult to do on marble(can be pricey). Our pricing on an average kitchen(60-80sqft) with normal wear and etching will start at around $650.00 and up. Larger kitchens with multiple islands and multiple countertops and other areas over 100 sq ft can that can be done in a day will start $900.00 and up. Pricing will vary region to region. Stone refinishing is one of those trades where experience is very important. I have been doing this since 2003 and still learn something everyday. While some stones are easier to work on others can be a serious undertaking. Not to mention the possibility of damaging fixtures back splashes,cabinets etc. Other issues could be dust or water containment and proper masking techniques so appliances,wallpaper,furniture and fabrics are protected . So While I am sure that a very handy person could do or try to refinish the stone there is the question of purchasing and using the proper equipment. I am keeping you in my good thoughts for good news about your results.
I wish they would have had ultrasound back when I was having gall bladder trouble. I was only 24 when I had to have it out and I had suffered the same symptoms for at least 10 years. I had to have an IV choliangiogram and since I had numerous gallstones, it was very painful.
Let us know the results when you find out, please.

My sister just had one. She had gall stones a year ago. They claim they don't go away.I guess they can break up and travel and block things though? Has had pain in her chest and horrible heartburn. The U/S was good. So now she's had another test, that I can't remember the name of! LOL To see if gall bladder is working properly. The test took something like 2 or 3 hours. She's still waiting for results, had it last Friday.

My husband had to have his gall bladder checked before his hernia operation--they scheduled an ultrasound and an 'ejection factor' (I think that was the term) test. But because the first test was conclusive that he needed to have his gall bladder removed.

Good luck with the test--and whatever the results, hope you find relief from what's bothering you.

wish they done one on my dd's mil...she went in and the drs' (doing the scope surgery) found she didn't have a gall bladder! they ended up doing something to the bile duct, to relieve problems, but omg...they say it happens like 1 in a high number you can be born without a gall bladder...
