My favorite TV snack

Jan laughs at me but I like to make a bag of microwave popcorn, then sprinkle a liberal helping of grated parmesean cheese in it.

Ex enjoyed stirring garlic in melted butter before adding to popcorn.

I just like with salt and butter

Here's some seasoning tips:

Grated Parmesan Cheese with rosemary
Herb Shake: Oregano, Basil, Parsley
Salt & Vinegar: Spritz popcorn lightly with vinegar, sprinkle salt to taste NOW I wqould love this
Lemon Pepper
Tabasco Sauce (mixed into melted butter then poured over popcorn)
Creole Seasoning
Lime Juice Spritz & Lemon Pepper
Dill Weed & Celery Salt
Garlic sauteed in butter then poured over popcorn
Taco seasoning mix

GGG - I had no idea that Animal Planet had any type of garden show - guess I should check out daytime shows a little better. Anyway watched it today and a big "thumbs-up". It is now set for a season pass on TiVo so I won't miss any episodes. I have always wanted to get a National Wildlife certification - this show will help me get off my butt and get the paperwork filled. It never ceases to amaze me how many tips and ideas I get from this forum and a couple of others (Garden Junk and Wintersowing). Many times this place is a better wealth of info and ideas than any TV show but thanks for mentioning that show - I will enjoy it.... Lynne

Loved "The Castle" although I think the company that released it for the US, felt they needed to dub over bits of it so that Americans could understand it. Also from "down under", an off-beat love story: Eagle vs Shark and quite possibly the best comedy about Austrailan lawn bowling: Crackerjack (from 2002) And from France: "Bienvenue chez les Ch'tis" a comedy about a postal worker who gets transferred to "the sticks" in Northern France.

I used to be a sit-com nut. They and variety shows are what I was raised on. TV was pretty safe and my parents let me watch what ever I wanted. My dad loved tv. Barney Miller, Bob Newhart, MASH, Happy Days, Mary Tyler More. That's not counting the shows that were already in syndication in the 70's (when I was a kid); Bewitched, Dick Van Dyke, The Brady Bunch, etc. We have almost completely stopped watching TV before 9 pm since our kids were born (13 years). There are sit-coms out that I hear are really good, and I know I would love them, but I have never seen them. Scrubs, 30 Rock, My name is Earl, 2 1/2 Men. I wont even pause on the FOX network. You can't trust the shows to be anywhere near appropriate for children and I'm not going to disappear into another room to watch tv while my kids are still awake. My all time favorite, either MASH or TAXI. "What does a yellow light mean?" HA HA HA HA

We like popcorn with "shakey cheese" too. That's what we call the grated parm. in the shaker.

I am another one that likes to put some grated Parm in my popcorn, and now my kiddos are doing the same.

Popcorn. We used to eat allot of chips but since buying our presto popcorn popper that's all we eat. Hubby likes it with a few sprays of butter and some salt, he gets his bowl first. I like kettlecorn so I add about a tbsp of sugar to my oil and some salt. Love it.
