We've always had a programmable coffee pot that we set up the night before & it's brewed by the time we get up. Finding a pot we like is hit or miss; the last one was krups KM4065- has a dual timer; so we can push 1 for it to brew for hub & 2 for it to brew for me. Nice if you get up at different times. There were various things I dislike about it; mainly the top lid where you fill the coffee & water; I hate that it's one piece. We like pots where there is a lid over the grinds & another over the water fill. Can't count the number of times I spilled the grinds into the water. It died this morning; so we'll be looking for a new pot. Thankfully we keep one in the basement for days like this. It's one of our old ones that the teflon came off of the burner; otherwise it works but burns the coffee We've found that pots that take the #4 filter have a better flavor then the Mr Coffee type filter. The reason is that it takes longer for the hot water to pass over the grinds.

Yep, melt down the Crisco. NancyLouise

Whelp I got the project mostly done. I need better latches on the upper cabinet doors as the cat Abby has decided I put that there for her to open doors and climb up into. GGGGRRRRRR Both pieces were on wheels !!!! All furniture should be on wheels. LOL The old stuff has come from all over. I remember the hooser came from a liquor store in Challis. Just some thing they were selling on the side. Most of my stuff really is just junk. Yard sale stuff thrift store. I still need to fine tune things in studio and kitchen but already Hoosier is great where it is and the ability to easily get to the appliances is a big help. Not that getting them from a shelf below cabinet is all that hard. For me now it is. sigh. Good news is my hands are getting better. This has been pretty miserable. I am going to jazz up the hoosier a little bit. I am not at all concerned to devalue it as it is not a good one. Crappy wood not pretty oak. Painted and all. Then I will get a picture. Adding fru fru to the top is out of the question Again Abby has her own opinion on what belongs up there and has cleared it twice already of what she does not like. This dang cat is more like an Orangutan than a sweet little kitty.

well I can't remember the last time I ate a donut so I kinda doubt it, but I wouldn't be opposed to trying a bite. I do love sweet and savory together, my husband doesn't. We both like egg sandwiches on occasion. We are both avoiding this kind of stuff, you know come to think about it I don't think I have ever been in a Dunkin Donuts or had one, I have years ago had Krispy Kreme which was super sweet.
