Frank, she's already a beauty, and she's not fully open! Just wait until all the buds open! As I said, it was one of my favorites! Very prolific bloomer... although, all my attempts at pollinating failed. I'll catch it next bloom cycle. Sweet Lilian also proved to be very photogenic! I took the most photos of this particular variety. Viagrow... hahaha! So, what happens if the stem is erect for more than 4 hours? Should you consult a horticulturist? LOL! Larissa, in today's world, you sort of have to help your kids develop a thick skin so they're ready for whatever life throws at them. We're the type of parents that never shielded our kids from the uglier side of life... we were always very open, encouraging them to question the world around them, and to discuss things they weren't sure about. Life is tough... kids need to develop good coping skills! One of our favorite lines was, and still is: Life is full of choices... for every choice there is a consequence... think hard before making your choices! When our kids were teens, our house was the favorite hangout... there were always other kids at our house. They would all come over after school and hang out, play video games, listen to music... my fridge got a ton of mileage! I think we fed the neighborhood! You should hear some of the stories from parties at our house! Our motto was: Don't fall asleep before we do! Oh, the jokes we played on people! Ahh... great memories! Hilarious memories! We never had a lot of money, but we did have a lot of fun! Our kids have some awesome memories to take with them through life... that much is certain!

I was sick this season so I didn't get to keep the garden size I usually keep, but I do have a -very- limited amount of seed. I've already sourced over 1/2 of it locally. I have enough for 4-5 mailings of 4-5 seeds. I also have the spare postage from the earlier offer to send it out without a SASE. I'll hold 2 of these for ferret/bdan for a while. Oh my, Allison I am sorry! I wondered how your DD2 became engaged and married so fast :-( I should have known you would at least have posted a dress issue or something on the conversations board with all that wedding talk! Very sorry for that misunderstanding. But initially the posts that crossed over to houzz were not dated, so I had no idea the thread was four years old. Now I see they are dated, although in the faintest possible ink color. (Houzz must have mostly 20 and 30 something users with better eyesight.) At any rate, the groom may not have been a keeper but the flowers were lovely!

Mornin' ladies! I love snacks in the summer. I would sure make this if we still had our pontoon on the river. SWEET AND SPICY HONEY NUT CHEX MIX 4 c. Honey Nut Chex cereal 1/2 c. dry-roasted peanuts 1/2 c. roast salted sunflower seeds or pumpkin seeds 2 Tbsp. honey 1 Tbsp. warm water 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. ground cumin 1/2 tsp. ground red pepper (cayenne) 3/4 c. raisins In large microwavable bowl, mix cereal, peanuts and sunflower nuts; set aside. 2. In small bowl, mix honey and warm water. Stir in salt, cumin and red pepper until blended. Pour over cereal mixture, stirring until evenly coated. 3. Microwave uncovered on High 3 minutes, stirring every minute. Stir in raisins. Microwave 1 minute longer. Spread on waxed paper or foil to cool. Store in airtight container.
