WOW : IF you all think I'm sweet its only because of this sweet box I recieved today :))) jeanette you just put 5 lbs of smiles on my waistline If I could even find a waitline :)) these chocolates are so good :)) but best of all was the rest of the box where I found . scilla camp Hyacinth bulbs , scilla siberica bulbs ,witch I will do a search on so I can find the best place to plant them . then there was narcissus trumpet "KING ALFRED" He sure looks like a king also :)) an Iris to add to my collection "LOW HO SILVER" I Hope you saved a few for yourself :))) very very nice fall gifts that are all so very usefull I love them . kitchen set of Towels/pot holder/ oven mitt photo calendar for 2007 Body Botanical bath fizz a pumpkin with 2 pine scented candles a scented sink strainer I never heard or seen these before sure going to use this one :)) package of 10 note cards I Like these & feel you can never have to many with all that I use . the paper lanter be use as my night light I just got a few of them from a close out summer sale & I like them in the bird room :)) & then its the pumpkin tin filled with the candy kisses & all the white & dark hershey chocolates all through the box . what a very lovely box :) its a rainy day today so the picture is a little dark but you can see the spider that was in my box :)) love him & glad it was no bubba :)) Shirley again very nice fall swap & job well done we can now close this one and start our next swap . thank you jeanette susie

Marlene, so glad to hear your gout is doing better. My DH suffers from RA and gout so I know what your going through. When will you know if you need a cast in place of the brace on your hand. Sure hope that isn't necessary and it heals w/o. When do you think your kitchen remodel might be done? Will be great to have you back posting pictures of your tables and decor when your done. Wow Chris, those holiyhocks are spectacular! I had one self seed from somewhere at my old house once, but otherwise have no experience with them. They make a wonderful border. How long do yours bloom? Are those the seeds you are willing to share? I'd love to try some. I was watering my little patio garden this morning and took some photos, thinking I would post them here for you Smaller Homers to share. How appropriate, as it is Garden Day here! We have had a nice summer, not too hot yet. I think we have had one 90-ish day. Early next week we are going down to the 60s again due to a typhoon in Japan, I hear. I hope you get that cool wave, too, Chris. We still are getting rainy days, too, so grass is green and the plants are happy. I have tried to hire help for my in-ground front garden but they kept having crises and canceling. I may try another person soon, once I get a couple of other things done and can turn my attention there. I want to expand the bed because my evergreen is expanding and overflowing the bed and I want to un-crowd what is there. I tend to pile everything on top of each other and with a majorly red Japanese Maple anchoring one end, it should probably look more sparse and less all-mushed-together. I envy those gardeners who know when to stop! ML, your garden is so peaceful and welcoming. I like the addition of the logs giving more height in different places. Yours hostas look very happy. Happened to me for the first time ever just 2 days ago. We left last Thurs to drive to Chicago, had to take my DH's truck because we were picking up my grandfather clock. No problem with swelling on that trip which was 12 hours driving straight through. After the return home on Sunday, however, both feet and ankles were swollen. The night before we left we had dinner out with friends and I'm sure the combination of alcohol, way more salt intake than normal and then the long drive starting early the following morning caused it - swelling was down but not gone yesterday but is gone today. One other element I suspect is the type of seat in his truck that causes my legs to hang almost straight down much like a dining chair (I'm short) as opposed to my car seat and we usually make that trip in my car.
