What's for Wednesday's Dinner?

We cleaned up the leftover roast pork along with boiled potatoes, with butter and sour cream on, and steamed onions and green beans with a splash of balsamic vinegar.

Gorgeous fall day today, weather should be nice again tomorrow and my laundry is piling up, so I'm anxious to get them on the line.

Hubby just left for the Olive Garden to get us some gnocci with the nice garlic rolls. Things were just too hectic today to cook anything.

Stir fried beef and broccoli with fresh tomatoes over steamed rice.

Oh we like them fried in a skillet as well as on the grill. The ones in the skillet are the greasy kind that you get in diners. He fried the french fries like we like them very well done...We even toasted the buns with butter and a little garlic. I so want to go in there and fix the last burger for me for an extra breakfast. The bagel I had with Tony just didn't fill me up...

I cooked that spiral ham. Along with that was mashed potatoes and beets. Anytime I send Bobby to the garage to get a vegetable either from the freezer or canned on the shelf I can be assured he is going to come in with beets. LOL After dinner I cut the meat off the bone and packaged it for the freezer. Got six packs of meat and a big pack with the bone and the juice from the pan the ham cooked in. Looking forward to 15 bean soup in the near future.

Chilly and rainy here, too...so, time for a fall supper. Roasted pork tenderloin, rubbed with olive oil, garlic and herbs de provence. Vegs were steamed yams sprinkled with light brown sugar and steamed fresh spinach. Wine was Sarsaparilla soda :)

Fajitas, we love those! I must make them on the weekend, or next week. Thanks for the inspiration Raven. Pam hubby will take hot dogs over hamburgers any day. He'd love your dinner, lol. We love "shumaligans" Prairie. It's a good thing because I always cook too much, specifically to have food leftover. Gadgets, our favourite fast food burger is A&W, but once in a while I like a big Mac. They're messy with the lettuce ending up all over me. I'm sure you're much neater! Kathleen, for grabbing a fast meal it sure sounds healthy. Audrey, corn chowder is terrific soup. I hope Schultz is doing much better.

Miserable weather here in Ohio today...cold/wet/windy. It's supposed to start improving tomorrow.

Tonight I had what I'd planned last night.... unstuffed cabbage, and mashed potatoes.

I bought a frozen Mediterranean pizza. That piping hot and a huge icy cold Coke and I'll be fine ! I also tried another pre-made bagged salad, sheesh are those awful. From now on I'm making my own wonderful (and organic) salads.

Split pea soup, as announced in my earlier thread and it turned out great. I'll never make it without leeks again, I highly recommend it.
