He's a beautiful little fella. HOW can they say Camilla is his 'grandmother'?!!!! She's just another husband toy!!!!

My opinion - too bad "Horseface" was included in the pics! But I guess enough were taken that the one that will be his "official" christening picture doesn't have to be one with her in it.

What is with the Queen's purse in every picture. Looks like she just stopped in and is ready to run out the door. That is so strange. I wonder why the photographer did not suggest moving it out of the shot.

Can't help but think of Diana at moments like this.

Oh, Lydia....you're right--it does resemble an engorged tick. I didn't see that until you mentioned it. Now I can't look at it without seeing Kate balancing a tick on her head. LOL

I think the photos are great, they really make me smile. But two thoughts keep popping up - 1) Do you think that little boy will forgive his mom and dad for all that lace ;), and 2) do you realize none of us are ever going to have the chance to play with him.

The gown is a replica of the one used for many royal generations and which has been retired, so there is loads of lace, as has been the tradition for their family. Which is what I like about William and Katherine. They don't change every last thing about the family's traditions, yet, are young enough to put their own personal stamp on the monarchy. Just the right touch.

I assume they're being kind to Camilla because it's the right thing to do. Water under the bridge for them. Good thing, I'd hate it if my family didn't accept me/my life. I know I've made some mistakes in my lifetime. Luckily, not in a worldwide view.

I too wonder what Diana would say and do. I'm sure it would be the most wonderfully nice thing and very classy. Since that's just how she was all the time.

Charles and Camilla have had a very long and loving relationship. Charles was in love with her long before Diana was even out of her teen years. Their relationship was frowned upon and Camilla married her first husband . She and Charles remained friends.

Diana was pretty much shoved in his face, not the first choice of the family, but very acceptable. Sadly, Diana knew that something was amiss from the very beginning....even before her wedding to Charles. She knew all about Camilla.

Charles, as the heir to the throne, didn't have the cojones to stand up for Camellia, who really was eminently qualified to be his wife. She was the love of his life and he was hers. Poor Diana was a victim.

When Charles and Camilla finally, finally married, I was very happy for them both. Charles is a one woman man and that woman has always been Camilla. He and Diana always looked painfully uncomfortable to me as they were thrown together. Didn't you cringe at their early dating and engagement pictures?

Hatred directed towards Camilla is undeserved. I even find it hard to blame Charles for his weakness. He was stuck in a time and situation and family from which he had little chance of escape. In reality, she is and always had been the love of his life. That Diana was brought into the situation was a tragedy. I can't help but blame her parents as well as the royal family for the horrible mismatch.

The Queen and some of the other women are wearing suit dresses. Very elegant but not common in the US anymore.

I think it's a nice looking family. Prince Harry's and Prince William's height must come from Diana's side of her family.

I love seeing photos of the royal couple and the baby and often think, had Diana lived, how happy she would be....Can you just picture her holding her grandson....

My mother's husband is my kids' grandfather, even though he is not my dad.
And he is every bit a grandfather as my dad would have been.

Saying otherwise is a slap in the face to every stepparent....

I only can picture the beautiful Diana in the picture, not horseface Camila who broke up their marriage, D's wonderful sons both take after her in every way.This baby is too cute. I want to pinch his fat cheeks. Kate and Will are lovely people, and I love the example they are setting. I also like Charles.

Rhizo, you make some good points. I agree that both Diana and Charles were victimized, although Diana far more. Thank heavens she grew a backbone as time went on, although neither one of them were paragons of virtue. If the marriage was so miserable (and I do believe it was), they should have cleanly ended it before taking up with others.

My XH now lives with a woman he was seeing while we were married. If I had grandchildren and she laid a hand on them I would rip her heart out. There. I said it. Guess I can't be accused of holding back! I'm surprised Diana did not send a lightening bolt from heaven to knock Camilla on her fat a$$, although Charles deserves it equally.

Anyway, I guess I am happy that they were able to move on. The baby is so darling. I do see a resemblance to William.

Oh come on, Diana was not the saint people make her out to be. She was bulemic, she had affairs, she was extravagent, she had beaucoup emotional problems. She was not a saint and imho, not particularly classy. She knew what she was getting into when she married Prince Charles. When you marry into the royal family you are going to be in the public eye constantly. If you can't stand the heat, don't go into the kitchen. Camilla didn't break up the marriage, Diana decided she didn't want the public life that was the price of being a princess and having the money and fame that went with it. Charles probably should have married Camilla in the first place like Rhizo said.

I read somewhere long ago that Charles and Camilla were an item before their marriages. Then without making any commitment, he went off somewhere for quite some time. When he returned, she had married. He had failed to claim her before leaving. I had not read about any family resistance to her.

Anyhow, under pressure from the family to marry and provide an heir, I read that he and Camilla picked Diana for him. Strange. Diana told of walking down the aisle to marry looking right and left seeking among the crowd for Camilla, with whom she knew Charles had spent the night.

It was doomed from the beginning.

Camilla is the step Grandmother. If Diana was still alive Camilla would never be referred to in the press as the Grandmother.

I'm a step-grandmother, and I agree, Kacee: If Diana were alive, no one would call Camilla the grandmother. I guess there are two ways to become a step-grandmother. In my case, my daughter is the stepmother. My children had a step-grandmother (my stepmother) who was never anything less than a wonderful Grandma to them. They loved her dearly.

As for Diana, we're all entitled to our opinions. I'm not into saints at all, so I'm glad she wasn't one. I thought she was wonderful. And very classy.

Diana married Charles the same month she turned 20 years old. I can't blame her for getting in over her head. It was probably every English girl's dream to marry a prince. I don't know about the rest of you, but I didn't make the best relationship decisions when I was 19 either. ;-)

We sure would have had a bunch of ugly royals without Diana's genes. Can't imagine what the offspring of Charles and Camilla would have looked like. Just think of his ears and her jaw on one person. Yikes.

I am happy for Charles and Camilla. They are finally together. Look - if those of you who are talking against Camilla were in the situation of your husband (or wife, as the case may be), who is a "step", and if that person were omitted from ceremonies such as this, you'd be screaming bloody murder and posting here about the injustice of it all.

It seems odd to me that there are no pictures of the queen holding the baby, even when she is comfortably seated.

I'm sure that there are pictures of the Queen holding George. Not all are for public viewing. (Thank goodness) I've read that she and Prince Philip dote on the baby, as do Charles and Camilla.

I always thought William was a precious child, cuter than Harry, but Harry got cuter as he grew up. Diana was 19 years old when she was handpicked to be a virgin bride. Anyone would have been emotional when they found out on their honeymoon the new husband was in communication with his girlfriend.

Really lucky Di's good genes got passed down to her sons and grandson. Will looks just like her so the baby does too. Charles will never rule. His mother will live to be really old as her mother and then Will will be king. Kate is a lovely woman. She looks so pretty in everything she wears. Her parents and sibs are attractive too.
