Got my swap package, Debbi!

Grannieofgirls, Debbi, sent a lovely package, and it was so very welcome to a cold and windy Minnesota. I truly enjoyed emailing her and learning of her area.

I am having a cup of the tea as I type this! And I've eaten half of the jar of candy/peanuts, too.

I also love that bowl - it's great. And the edible goodies are mouthwatering. That's supposed to be The Word on Italian Cooking. I have the book, but have been too daunted to know where to start. Marcia - please do post any recipes you try on the discussions thread. And for the rest of you who have this book, please let me know which recipes you recommend. With over 1200 (and no editorial comments), I don't know where to start. Enjoy it all. Lynn.

oh diana, i'm so glad you got a camera. i certainly learned for next time to always take pictures. barnomom...more than three? the cruets are one piece, the pitcher and glasses a REAL set and the napkins are the third item. the mag certainly does not count as a swap item. funny that you mention "more than three" is to this swap box and not a comment to some of the others. i must be missing something. diana, enjoy it all. i absolutely loved each item i sent to you and certainly hope you will for quite some time to come. maryanne p.s. michelle, nice dog outfit. you are obsessed with those skeletons LOLOL

A friend gave me a similar cookbook years and years ago. I still pop clippings into it. It was such a thoughful and useful gift. Lori, your book is also beautiful. The Greek cookbook looks interesting, as does the rub. The kid, who brought home gyro-makings for dinner, wandered in just now and said, "Greek. Kewl." lol.

The jar contains homemade chokecherry jam, and the brown package is goat milk soap made by a set of triplets in their 4-H club who raise goats and make the soap. She also included a bottle of hot sauce that is made locally.

Awww! Phyllis, you are SO welcome! So very nice to get to know you also :) Haven't gotten your package yet, but am eagerly looking forward to it. I'm glad you get to come to beautiful Colorado soon. Hope our beautiful weather holds out for you.

That chokecherry jam brings back memories! My friend's mother lived in Durango and she'd bring chokecherry jam when she came to visit. What a treat! I haven't seen that in over thirty years. Enjoy your swap package.
