What's for dinner 10/3?

Ir was nice and cool today so I have a Swiss steak in the oven. We'll have mashed potatoes and gravy and green beans to go with it. It sure smells good! What are y'all having?

2X2X2 AT IHOP

2 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausages for $4.99

I like to put my eggs on top of one pancake.

The other one with the butter, on a separate plate to pour syrup over.

Nita, you deserve a break from cooking after cooking for company. Glad your foot is getting better and I know you're anxious to get out and moving more. Marilyn, you really scored on those plants. Makes me want to run to Lowe's but I am a notorious plant killer except for succulents. LOL! I only have one jade plant and that's because I know I can't possibly kill that!! Everybody's dinner sounds good--ours was a big fat zero on a scale of 1 to 5. Made a honey mustard sauce for the pork chop and it was nasty tasting and the pork chops were like shoe leather--and I only baked them 35 minutes. They were about 3/4" thick so I didn't think that would be too long. Enjoy what's left of the evening, everybody!

Shopped today with Amber. Stopped in at Goodwill and then on to Walmart, shopped there. Lunch was from Bob Evan's. A salad, chili (only ate part of it and brought the rest home) and iced tea. Then on to Meijer and got groceries and my flu shot. If you got your shot there you got a booklet with $80 worth of coupons. It was near 3:00 by the time we were ready to leave so I called home to see if the guys wanted something to eat. Ended up buying butter burgers, fries and shakes to take home, from Steak and Shake. I had iced tea and Amber just had a shake no burger dinner for her. We had coupons for there. So that was our supper. The men are now working on the 3rd tall retaining wall. It was beautiful here again today, a bit breezy though. Hope everyone had a good day. Sue

I made a huge pot of chicken noodle soup! We smoked 3 chickens a month ago, deboned and froze all the meat, added some celery, carrots, corn, onions and a small bag of fresh spinach I chopped up and froze...and of course thick noodles..mmm I just took a bowl out of the stock pot and it is cooling in front of me now. I CANNOT make a small pot of soup! Doesn't matter what kind it is, it always turns into a cauldron of soup! LOL

Golden Corral Buffet today Broccoli with cheese sauce Sweet Potato fluff piece of fish scoop of Bourbon Street Chicken and topped it off with banana pudding and coffee with ice cradm in it

I had a little piece of tenderized round steak. I rubbed a little flour on it, and quickly fried it in about a tablespoon of oil with a sliced zucchini.

grilled salmon, fresh steamed veggie mix, artichoke (4 me i have one almost everyday lol). plus i tried the new Uncle Ben's Brown Rice in boil bag...took 10 minutes, was pretty good, softer than i like rice but it would make awesome fried rice as it was not at all sticky. it won a food award from cooking light so i tried it, glad i did and will get again. ~ liz

I made Johnny Mac, a real comfort food. Only the can of diced tomatoes I grabbed from the cupboard also had green chilis in it. It was a can I bought by mistake long time ago. Let's just say Johnny was a little hot tonight. Still tasted good.

I painted all afternoon yesterday. Made a pot of chili and DH had a roast beef sandwich with his. Opened a can of pears for dessert.
