What's for dinner Thursday?

I've been cleaning like a mad woman today since one of my sisters will be here Monday. Stripped the bed in the guest room and washed everything--the bedspread is still in the dryer. It's "pouffy" and taking forever to dry. I keep turning it around to get the damp spots dry--anyway, I'm hopin'. I did make a good dent in what needs to be done. Shoot, I should've just called Merry Maids.

Dinner tonight is POOF'd. We're having Jae TN's burritos and taco rice. I have some peaches I'll slice, too.

Since I just got home from my trip late Monday night I have been worthless because of jet lag. So I went out to the freezer and found some ribs. I will put some rice and a veggie with it and call it good.

I'll tell my lunch menu instead of my evening meal. I ate out at a flea market in Amish country today. I had spaghetti and meatballs, home made garlic bread, and I switched the salad for fresh green beans. Had milk to drink. I bought a homemade peanut butter creme stick for sometime later on.

You need to share the citrus dressing recipe ; it sounds good. Fixed a good salad with mixed greens and all kinds of stuff, lol. Robert didn't want ginger dressing again, so I whipped up creamy green goddess type of concoction.....then put our leftover salmon from last night on top. I am going to have to get some asparagus!

Same as yesterday -- Various snacks, cheeses, hors d'oeuvres, mini sandwiches, chocolate-dipped fruits, and brownies at a Christmas party. Yesterday was a retirement party for the head of the University Library where I work, today was a shindig put on by a large realty firm at which friends of ours work.

Mimipadv......we always find that the pineapples get sweeter when we leave them on the counter for a couple of days. When they start to smell like a pineapple we cut it open. Your pork chop dinner sounds delicious. It was cold enough that I was wanting a beef roast. Party, today was definitely chili weather in your area and ours (and Gadgets') Pam what a treat, having filet mignon!! Good for you! Rhizo, I have the urge for quinoa tabbuleh and your dinner confirmed my taste buds wanting that. That's a summer dish for me. Gadgets your chicken and potato wedges sounds good to me too!

Little bittiest lobster tails (4 oz) I've ever seen. Threw them on the grill. Husband gave me his, "too much work". His fingers were as big as the tails. LOL Some bowtie pasta, chicken, broccoli and mushrooms in Alfredo sauce.

Nita, if I can ever get my computer working properly I can't wait to hear about your trip. Bet the guys were glad to see you home. Glenda told me about Mary Ann and it still makes me so sad. I never got to meet her, but I know you two were close so this is for you ((((Nita))))

Shirley, I'd sure like to pal around with you. Lunch sounds heavenly! I have no idea what a peanut butter creme stick is, and I'm not a big PB fan, but it sure sounds good!

Hi Patti! It sure is good seeing you post this thread again.

I made breaded pork chops (has to be my favourite way to eat them), Company potatoes (leftover mashed potatoes mixed with shredded cheese, onions and sour cream and baked), and broccoli.

Good to see you up and running again, Patti. We missed you. I played golf with some lady friends today. There was 12 of us. We were to go out to dinner afterwards since our T-times started at 1:00. However, we got rained on and quit around 3:00. We had sort of a lunch dinner instead. I had a hamburger with sweet potato fries. It really hit the spot. It's been quite a while since I've had a burger.

It is good to see you on here again Patti. My supper was not much, but just me so it didn't matter. I had a broiled smoked sausage sandwich and a glass of milk. I had a bigger lunch with a couple of my girls that were here. They worked on a large autumn floral arrangement for our church. I watched the baby most of the time. We had ham sandwiches, green beans, cottage cheese, grapes, and strawberries and iced tea to drink.

While grocery shopping monday I found a 10lb pork shoulder roast for $11 and I popped it in the oven about lunch time.

Needles to say, supper was roast pork garnished with a bit of fresh horseradish, boiled new potatoes, saurkraut & applesauce.....(I didn't have room for desert..LOL).

DS and I hit an Estate sale this morning and made it to a Subway sandwich place and in time to order two of their Bacon,Egg and cheese foot longs on flatbread. I had them cut each one in 4 pieces.

I had two pieces for lunch then the rest of that one for Dinner. The other four slices are bagged and in the freezer for later. Much better than Jimmy Dean's and others IMHO

Pork chops with dijon cream, mashed 'potatoes' (cauliflower) and salad. Yummy!

I worked 4 - 9 today and just got home so I haven't had any dinner yet. DH had hockey tonight so he just made himself a sandwich. I'm thinking a cup of tea and some Rye toast would be nice!

first time I cooked all week...hubster is out of town and the kids haven't been here...Meatloaf/mashed potatoes and gravy/baked beans/Kings Hawaiian rolls...with brownies for dessert...everyone was so stuffed the brownies are still untouched...(that'll change in the middle of the night...two growing boys/men who loved to raid the kitchen in the middle of the night...ohhh to have their metabolism!!
