I am working on getting Glen's cost of the medicine reduced and when I called today it is down to 10% of the $1643.29 so I just faxed some more info and will hopefully get it down to 5%.

Suzi, thanks for the link. I will go there and also pass it on to my SIL for Glen's brother, Larry.

Mingo, that is what I'm working on. The manufacturer is Bayer and they have a program called REACH with a nurse and everything! :) No calls yet on the little dog. He sure is cute but I absolutely cannot keep him. The next ad will be "free to good home"!

Thanks again, it is good to know that there are people all over (including Canada) that are thinking of us.

I did get to see the Delta Queen leave. It was bittersweet with people holding signs that said Save the Delta Queen, and Save Our Jobs.

Glen came home from work again today. He has been having a lot of nausea etc. and his stomach is hard as a rock.

2 different doctors have told him to go on disability but he won't do it. Not until he has no other choice. He's a tough one. Did ya'll know he quit smoking back in March?

Hope I can one day soon.

I got my flu shot today, have you all had yours yet?

Gotta go for now.

For those of you in Florida - see if you can find a concentrated cleaner called "WEB" - (made in Lake Worth, FL by Southland Products Co 561-582-4814 according to the bottle) - sold in Winn-Dixie and at ACE Hardware - combines strong detergent with acid so it removes the soap scum AND hard water stains - just did my shower doors - came out looking new !! - be sure to follow directions for diluting - and rinse well with water -- would suggest a stiff brush or plastic dish scrubber rather than Brillo pad - (aluminum doesn't like steel wool)- works super on tile too - -happy cleaning - Dave

Oh that's true! Your fall is not my fall. Well with mine, when I do cuttings, I usually expect some semblance of roots in a month's time, hence the 1/2 strength fertilizer business. Then about 2 months in, I begin regular full strength on indoor plants because they only get watered once a month and fertilized once a month (for a total two watering sessions). I would fertilize in September and October, then for me, I will usually just water through the winter (Nov to Jan) very intermittently....like maybe once a month if it's indoors. I know some people still lightly fertilize in the winter, too, with indoor plants. I'll leave that part to you. I do not, but fertilizing is considered a real chore for me, haha. Come Feb, I mean spring...so that, too, will differ for you. But how cold is it for you in October? We are basically in Indian summer....so it's pretty hot still with spikes too 100 easily. Just as a general rule of thumb, if it's growing--fertilize. If it's not, stop. And during your coldest months, hold back on everything. What month that is for you will differ from mine though! What temps your house is and the light will also make a difference. Because yours are cuttings and just starting to grow, I think if I were you, I'd opt for lightly fertilizing through this winter, 1/4 dosage or so just to give them sustenance. But that's up to you. :)

Not sure if you know...most of the drug companies have programs to help those who need but cannot afford their one or all of their prescribed medications.

Your doctor has to complete/submit the forms; once accepted the meds are sent to their office! Also; most physicians have a "drug closet" FULL of samples! Ask; most likely they will accomodate you if they have any available...otherwise the meds sit on the shelf...expire and they end up trashing them.

I'm so proud of him for quitting smoking, Charlee. Now we need to work on you! When I quit, I just quit cold-turkey. Now there are so many aids on the market, you should be able to quit fairly easily once you make up your mind.

Good luck with the drug companies. 5-10% sounds fabulous!

I'm so glad to see you posting! We've missed you around here. And good luck with the dog. We got really lucky, a friend of ours just BEGGED to have the stray that found us and now she's happily living with him and his other dog and everyone is extremely happy. Especially me and my dogs! lolol 5 big dogs in this little house was just insane. Fortunately, we'd only had her for 5 days when he approached us wanting her. I hadn't gotten TOO attached yet, so it was do-able. She was a sweet girl, though, except for her propensity to fight for food and attention. There were a lot of flashing teeth for a while.
