Made tacos last night and they did not taste right.If I had added the salsa sause it might have helped warning sign.What's next?

Pete, I think that water is water, food, means food regardless of the language. If you love roses, you will have no problem admiring them. The people growing them will, like most rose growers, be glad to share. As to our own country, people to tend to isolate themselves, which is silly. My AA sponsor told me to stop watching the news as it was making me nuts (at least more nuts than I am.) I was still able to catch the big stuff like 9/11. If you are a member of a local ARS club, what is a better way of trying to get new members. Our gerontic members are slowly dying off. Bummer! Not everyone is Jack the Ripper. Last night I was riding my motorpickle home and it was wind gust city. I have a large faring on my BMW. I was stopped at a red light with the weight on my left foot. The wind blew the motorpickle over to the right. I had a knot in the end of my shoelace of my John Deere boot. The wind whipped it into the float snap of the carburetor. I went to put my right foot down and I broke the carb trying to get free and rolled over anyways. I was unable to stop the flow of gasoline out of the carburetor, so I turned off the gas at the petcock. The engine had died as I had it in first with the clutch in. I was swarmed with well wishers. The bike was "up" in no time. Fred, a stranger just driving by with his son, was towing one of those low trailers and told me he would pull off at the next drive, we loaded the bike and he took me home. He would not take any money, but I cut him some roses I still had blooming for his wife. Yes, those "Just Joey" ones I had been babying covering at night. Thank God I grow roses! Foghorn

I am a crazy cleaner. I have a powder room downstairs that is not very private, so I offer guests the upstairs full bath as well. That means everything must be clean, up and down. I end up tossing a lot of stuff in my bedroom walk-in closet. That's one spot no one needs to see. My son and his GF are coming to visit in December. This is the first time I am meeting her. I am practically redecorating!! Dog hair story -- one time my friend drove us to an orchestra concert in the city. She had two black labs. We were all covered with black hair by the time we arrived. It was awful! One good thing about being in a book club is that we meet at my house a few times during the year and that makes me give the downstairs an extra good cleaning.

I have been using cabinet coat on my moldings and trim and it is great. It has a subtle sheen to it, but not too much. I'd recommend the foam brushes for the primer coat and using a brush for the paint. Since your surfaces are wider, you may even want to try a 1" foam roller for the primer. My moldings and windows all have tight spaces. My most important tool is my ipod that I download audiobooks onto. They are free from the library and keep me from losing my mind. I have had to sand, prime and then paint (2x) all the old windows and trim, paint the new windows and trim (2x) and paint most ceilings and all walls in the reno (involving 5 rooms, a bathroom, 2 closets and a laundry room). Luckily, I have discovered Aura, so did not need to prime all the walls. I bought one can of "oops" in Regal though, but that is for the closet and will be used for stenciling as well. The ceilings need primer though :(. I have been painting every single day for weeks and sometimes more than 12 hours in a day on my days "off", although with 2 kids and a dh to also clean up after, feed and clothe, it has tested my sanity in many ways. Luckily, I work 4 days a week from my office usually and have been able to do more from home, although my business calls have been all on speaker phone while I am covered in paint, lol. The funny thing is as I survey each element, I have a clear memory of what book I was listening to as I painted or prepped. It is a great way for time to pass faster because your hands are engaged and you mind is as well. The cost of hiring out was $3,500 for priming everything and painting the ceilings with me still painting the master bedroom, living room, dining room and den walls, PLUS all the moldings and trim. The painter would have painted the kitchen walls. Our budget has been stretched to the breaking point, so I just added to my list and am plugging away at it all. I can say that the painter seemed very qualified, but no one will paint as carefully as I do. I may not be as fast as he'd be, but the end result will be as good or better. When you are doing it on your own home, you just care more. If I am going to live with and take the credit/blame for how it comes out, there is no way I'd do a sloppy job!

Depends what kind of restaurant it is. Fast-food places: no problem. 2 diners I like, IHOP: no problem. Any nicer restaurant: I do feel a little awkward. (About a year ago, after I got back from the airport and realized there was nothing much in the house to cook, I went to a steakhouse type of restaurant that's close to where I live. It was the start of the dinner hour, and there were families there. But I was really needing some red meat, and they had some newspapers in the waiting area, so I took one to my table to read before the food came. It was delish, service was good, I tipped well, I was happy. I guess I always feel that other diners look at me and think, "Oh she has to eat alone. Must not have any friends. How sad.")

It could be a lack of seasoning. Sometimes I season the meat a bit, then add Taco sauce along with other goodies. If you meat does not taste good, it may be bad meat.

Goldy dont worry, until you mix together a meatloaf, get it in the pan and then realize that you left out the ground beef..Yep I did that..can you say preoccupied??

Sad thing is I completely understood you. LOL! I walked into the med room at work yesterday, when I had meant to go up behind the nurses' station and get something. Took me a couple minutes of looking when I realized I had gone to the wrong place.

I've burnt things on the stove or forgot them in the microwave too, but I blame the KT for that. If you guys weren't so entertaining/interesting/funny, it would never happen to me!

After one has kids and after one turns 40, a horrid disease creeps in - it's called CRS disease and gets worse the older one gets - I've had it for years and there's NO CURE. OK, now what did I come in here for?!

I honestly had no idea what you were trying to say, so thanks to everyone for making me see it.

I made a pot of tea the other day, and when I poured it into my cup just hot water came out. So I was steeping a pot of water.

My greatest fear is making chicken stock and them pouring the whole works through a colander set in the sink. I'd hate to have the good stuff go down the drain and be left with a bunch of garbage! So I double check and check again to make sure I'm doing it right, before I drain the stock. LOL

I was out shopping yesterday and heard some amazing news on the car radio-a helicopter had crashed in the Hudson River off Manhattan. I knew DH was home and there would be coverage on News TV. Tried to call home but I couldn't find my cell phone. Continued my errands but worried about my lost phone. Was it stolen? When did I last use it? I finally returned home and found my phone and my glasses on the kitchen table. Lucky the glasses are for reading, not driving.

Holy crap! I was scared to read this. I'm not ready to "check out" yet!

Ya just slow down a bit. When you get in the living room, walk real slow and it will eventually come to you why you went in there. If it doesn't, walk really slow down the hall, towards the bedroom, halfway there you'll realize why you headed for the living room.

RUN REAL FAST to the living room and hope you remember when you get there WHY you're there.

It's simple and keeps you in shape.

I hear ya' Goldy! I'm another one who has done too many silly things over the years.

Heard Betty White say the other day she keeps in shape because she lives in a two story house and is always forgetting why she went upstairs. LOL

Guess I now know about the "Here After" because I'm always forgetting what I'm here after. teehee

"Time to check yourself out", is it, Goldy?

Both regular and blood docs just gave me a glowing report on my health the other day ... so I'm not quite ready to check out yet, if you don't mind (and God willing ... and I don't do something stupid on the road ... or someone else doesn't, near me).

Guess I should enjoy each day as it comes.

Isn't it funny ... how Christians tell how great it is to be in heaven ... but don't want to die, first?

Oh, well - hoo ever said that hoomans wuz rezonable?
