I've reunited with high school chums through facebook. Kind of interesting to see what everyone looks like now. Attendance at our reunions had been fairly anemic, so I don't think we'd have "reconnected" without facebook.

Just last week I friend requested an old high school teacher from 30 plus years ago. I lost touch with her a couple of years after school but her wisdom and knowledge has stayed with me all these years. I told her how she has inspired me to be what I am today and she couldn't help but cry tears of joy when reading what I wrote. I don't play any of the games at all. I mostly have it to keep in touch with relatives and share photos.

For me FB consumes less time than this site. I like FB to find out what people are doing. I myself don't share much about my life.

DH just started facebook and is reconnecting with tons of old friends. It takes up a lot of time, but I kind of like it because then I don't feel so bad when I am here or elsewhere on the net. I have to keep myself off the computer because I waste too much time.

Funny thing is the kids wouldn't "friend" him, but they would tell us anything we wanted to know anyway. So we kind of chided them so they finally friended him. So I do see some things going on in my kid's lives that they don't think to tell me, like my DS gave himself a mohawk!

Let's see. I reconnected with an old friend by friending her DS. I recently found a friend I lost track of 42 years ago when she finally joined FB, I found another friend I'd lost track of through a mutual friend on FB. So it's all good. i don't play games and I don't post often but I read my the news feed every other day or so.

A lot of my kids' friends have freinded me also. It's nice to be in the loop.

I enjoy Facebook a lot. All my family and friends are there and I especially enjoy seeing the pictures and hearing about what they are doing on a day to day basis. I don't play any of the games but I do belong to a few groups that I enjoy. I've had to "hide" some folks who post some stuff I'm not interested in but have found it to be a fun experience overall.

Through FB, I learned a couple of weeks ago that a couple from church adopted a baby in another state. When it was announced in church today, so many had no idea that they had finally been successful. They had a heartbreaking experience last year when a birth mom changed her mind the day after the baby was born. This time they have now been able to bring the baby home across the state line.

I've formed relationships on FB with family members I've never met in person and probably would never have gotten to know otherwise. One of them is now interested in family geneaology because he saw old family photos in my FB albums and we're emailing and messaging and sharing information we each have about the family, lots of fun and very rewarding.

i love fb, i have reconnected w/ classmates from grade & high school and college. i've connected w/ family & friends all over the planet and keep in touch w/ everyone alot more now. i do not play games, hide all that on feed, i don't have much time to be on in the evening and while at work all day we are not suppossed to go on. i really love that i can keep up w/ everyone's lives. i also LOVE having pages like Black Friday Ads, Philosophy, Bare escentuals, Tori Burch, lands End etc...i get awesome special deals, samples and updates. i also have hobby pages like crocheting and knitting and get lots of info & deals from them. ~ liz

I have been able to keep up with family memebers in other states that I would not have been in contact with if it were not for Facebook.
Fascinating story is that I was sent a friend request by someone on the boards, I did accept it but because of alot of crap that went on, I deleted the connection because I really did not know this person and well I just didn't want to be involved. That person must have gotten upset and blocked me from seeing her or any of her reponses to out mutual friends. It's all quite silly and like this person is back in elementary school but I just laughed and moved on.
