Is there some way I can hide all those games that people on my friends list play? I want to view their posts but don't like my whole front page filled up with the games everyone is playing...

Next time one shows up on your FB page click the X on the right side of the post and say Do Not Show (app name). You can hide people the same way.

I had to do that with several of my "friends" and once I blocked the games I never see anything from them, because that's ALL they do on FB!! lol

You have to have your own facebook page to post a question so register a page of your own and then follow these directions I got from Facebook. Unless you add a profile photo, no picture will ever show up of you. I use an alias name in FB. lol It serves me well. Go to your Timeline (which we sometimes refer to as your profile) and hover over your profile picture Click Edit Profile Picture to edit your picture Choose whether you want to: Pick a photo you already uploaded to Facebook Take a new photo Upload a photo from your computer Edit your thumbnail Remove your current photo You can use any of the photos you've uploaded to Facebook, or photos your friends have uploaded, if you're tagged in them: Click on the photo you want to use to expand it Hover over the photo and select Options Click Make Profile Picture Crop the photo and click Done Cropping Keep in mind, your current profile picture is public.

You must have Liked that page by accident. Go to the Tri-State Weather page on Facebook and "unlike" it by clicking on the button that says "Liked". A little list will pop up and click on Unlike. I will try to link to it below. Here is a link that might be useful: tri-state weather

"Snowfakes" privacy has to be set to public (globe) which really means no privacy! If a friend likes or comments on anything with the "globe" icon on it (which means it's "public") then it will appear in your newsfeed. If you do the same thing above, then all of your friends will see what you like or comment on in their newsfeed because it's "public" (has "globe" icon). Instead, if you or your friend like or comment on something with the "two heads" icon on it which means "friends" then it will NOT appear on your friend's feed (or your feed). You will see the "globe" or "friends" icon right after the date and time of the post. **To avoid clogging up my friends' newsfeeds with stuff, I just avoid liking or commenting on anything with the "globe" (public) icon. When friends clog up my feed, I unfollow them. We remain friends, but they never appear in my feed. I place them in the "acquaintance" category already set up in your account and go to that list if I want to see their newsfeeds. This is the only way I can easily see them since I unfollowed them. Hope this helps. Can be very confusing! Some people like or comment on too much "public" stuff so I just have to unfollow them and place them on the "acquaintance" list.

I rarely visit Facebook these days, but I, too, turned off all of the notifications about games my friends were playing. First, it was annoying. Second, I absolutely can't believe how much time some of them spend on Facebook games! I mean, these are mature, level-headed people with lives - yet it was hours and hours and hours. I think some are probably addicted. In my opinion, there are so many more constructive things people can do with those hours they're spending on those games.

I'm not even saying they shouldn't play the games at all. But man! I wanted to suggest that they spend some of that time volunteering or something else good if they didn't have anything else to do but play those games.

None of my business, so I just shook my head, tried to understand why they might do it, and stopped looking.

Noooooo...not you Joan!! lol These are people I went to school with!

Several months ago, there was a funeral announcement in our paper. After listing the the survivors, it told about what the girl enjoyed..Country Music and Farming on Farmville!! I about lmbo thinking what someone must have thought that didn't know it was a game!!
