Some may remember that I wrote to GW via Tamara as follows:>

Many of us on KT do not have facebook nor desire to be part of it can you explain how control of photos will be who will post them? will they automatically all be posted etc? This was quite a shock when we saw this posted on top of the forumThank you

I received the following reply this morning:

Our forums are public and have always been public. This means that anything that you post here can be viewed by anyone. If you do not wish for others to see something that you have posted -- be it a photo or a post -- you shouldn't post it on the Internet. There are thousands of people viewing the forums on GardenWeb who are not members and find the forums through search engines. Facebook and Pinterest are simply tools that we will use to encourage others to visit our site. We may occasionally share a photo from our forums, but we will always exercise good taste and common sense.

I blew the lack of seeing the reply I made since there was not a reply vs my reply (I wonder why?). If you are sure the fuel lines are strong and air tight at all connections. I would double back to check the jets for now w/o removing the fuel line and screen vs flushing under the screen (to verify a clear passage through the adj ports. With compressed carb cleaner try to simulate seeing fuel is moving through the lines. With a primer bulb this would be easier to see while cranking and priming with clear line. W/O or with clear line and light pressure from the attached cleaner and activating the valve under the fuel screen as the Diaphragm would, you should see some fuel movement. It's time for this Monster to run or show some better results. LOL. Without seeing it directly leaves a gap in troubleshooting/inspecting as I would. Do you have friends with 2-cycle troubleshooting skills close that would do a quick check? If it's trying to run, I feel it's a minimal problem. Due to the fact that it revved at one point I doubt it could be a compression issue. Give it a quick compression ck with a gauge or your finger. A gauge is said to read 90 - 100 psi + or you s/n be able to hold the compression in with your finger. Ck the spark arrest screen on the exhaust to know it is not badly restricted (if equipped).

Lately, the pop up ads and sidebars have increased. There was contact info to ask GW on one of the threads about Houzz. I used Ad Blocker, but it has to be refreshed often. I realized that posts with words appearing green are search terms that trigger an automated progr...m to attach ads on unrelated topics. I usually try to go back to change it. When posting, the word AV is safe to use, but not the word pl...nt. We will have to chat in code to avoid triggering pop-ups. But with automated word correction features, that is not easy. Yes, but the top edge of the links is undefined or something, and runs into the frame, thereby causing everything one has written to disappear. Even worse are when some mysterious group of keystrokes from some blasted browser update take one away from the page without even going near a button or link! When it's finished, it should only do it when you click from a page where you've written but not posted, which, unless you're often writing messages you dump out of, shouldn't be annoying. The bugs may not be out--yesterday it was still inquiring after submission, which I think is a timing thing between when the post is registered locally vs. globally, but I'm confident they'll get it right in the end. I just wanted to offer some enthusiasm and encouragement for them trying to fix one of the most annoying and discouraging things about the new format.. Please bear with them until they get it right!

Here's what I suggest...go to your google search box, type in your name and Garden web....I think you will be shocked to see nearly everything you have ever posted at Gardenweb (or anywhere else for that matter) on Google...

I don't know why people are surprised by this. Everything you do when you're on the internet is recorded somewhere. Every email you write is there, every bank transaction, every uploaded photo, every link that you click, any credit card or social security information entered online, which webpages you look at and how long you are there, what you post on forums, what you write on Facebook, who you interact with online, which bills you pay online, what sort of things you search for on Google...even if you delete or clear things out, it's still there, somewhere. SOMEONE is tracking it and using it if you give permission because most people don't actually read the terms of service before agreeing. I'm a little concerned that so many people don't seem to understand this. There is no privacy online. Once you log on, everything you do is tracked and can be linked back to you with enough effort.

Either live with it and take reasonable precautions or don't go on the internet, ever. Those are really the only two options, and the second one is becoming less and less possible.
