Funny you should ask, Maire. He likes to identify our various vehicles by color. (His favorite is his dad's "Green Truck.") So we said, "Look, Joey--a brown car!" He looked at it for a moment, then said, "Grandma's purple car?" "Grandma" is his other grandmother. (I'm Grammy.) She has a "black cherry" SUV that he calls purple. So I guess he needs some time to sort this out. LOL

Yes, Jem--AWD. I approached a number of Subaru owners in parking lots and asked them about their vehicles. Without exception, I received glowing recommendations.

I was thinking this could be a cool way to meet rich men . . . "Excuse me, could you please tell me how you like your S Class Mercedes? LOL

Glad that you were able to find what you were looking for. Thought it might be MW because of its location, just off I81 and its large selection of cars. Good to hear the positive comments on AWD. MY old car had 4X4 and was like a little snowplow. I normally stay home when it snows, but there were a couple of times that I had to go out or get home if I was already out and the snow started, the 4X4 was wonderful. My new car has AWD, I hope I like it as much.

Mare, like you, I've always had 4WD; this is my first AWD too. But I've heard such good things about AWD--although I suppose to some degree it depends on the car and manufacturer. Best of luck--to both of us!

I had 4WD's up until the car before the one I have now.. the last 2 have been AWD's and I feel pretty secure driving them. No problems getting through a bit of snow.

Subaru calls it Bronze. Yes, I think we can do the car seats if necessary. The interior is roomy!

My son noted something nice about the headlights. I don't know what it's called, but it looks like a small crystal ball in the headlamps. Probably all newer cars have this now. I haven't drive it at night yet, but he said I'll be happy with the illumination.

Meanwhile, he replaced the headlamps in my Caprice this week. It's looking good! ;-)
