Once Upon a Time started last night. If you watched, did you like it? I thought it was pretty good.

I've never watched Desperate Housewives but did watch last night for the first time. It's not too bad! Did Bree bury a body in that park?

Once Upon a Time--was actually a bit disappointed. Was a little hard to follow, and a little too complicated. Will probably watch again next week, but it wasn't really what I expected.

Did Bree bury a body in that park?
Yes, Bree and her 3 girlfriends buried a body in the park not long ago. It was Gabby's father (or maybe stepfather or someone like that), that had recently found Gabby. He molested her when she was a child. The father/stepfather(???) showed up at Gabby's home, and Carlos (her husband) knowing his past, accidentally killed him. Since Carlos has a bad past, and would have undoubtedly been sent to prison for murder, Gabby and the girls decided to just hide the murder and bury the body.

btw...this is the last season, so you might not want to get too 'hooked on it' like I am.

The previous seasons can be found on Netflix, or at rental places.

I have had a few friends in my life with MS and I can't say that being super skinny was a major symptom....nor being dumb as a stump, but heck, I'm not a doctor so what do I know ;oP I love the SS said it can't happen...maybe they need to read or watch the news? LOL I would love to be on a HW show. I'm picturing my life as I sit now...I'm in a paint stained shirt with dirty jeans on (gardening and painting while DS was at school) but I do have on a lovely pair of ruby ear rings :oP DS is out in the center hall of (what they would picture as a fabulous mansion on a HW episode) our old victorian and has just had a major 3 car pile up....This means the mansion is full of torn up cardboard as his cars were all boxes... HE's wearing a paint stained pair of designer jeans, a bat man tee shirt (with paint...what do they do at kindergarten? Dip them in paint) and skull and heart boots while screaming at the top of his lungs for an amballance (spelled as he says it). The dog just barfed up the dinner he stole from the cat...the cat is whining about his lack of dinner (I'll refeed him) and there is a herd of deer in the back 40 pooping all over the yard (this housewife will soon be chasing them out with a hose). Ahhh the romance of the real world....it would be quite a show :oP Anyone else want to be on it? heh heh

I haven't watched it yet...going to tonight. I always ge so confused when they stop for so long like they do. I have the first 3 season's and will get the 4th as soon as it comes out. I love to watch them with no interruptions....I lose so much with the long breaks they take in between shows. It seems like it just came back on from the strike and now it's over already! My brain can't keep it all stright sometimes! I can't wait to watch last nights finale!

First time home buyers and remodelers with a desperate kitchen!!

We have done 2 DIY kitchen remodels. The first was on a lower scale, but it involved removing a wall, new floors, new cabinets, new counters, new drywall, new recessed lighting, etc...I think it cost us probably $35k. The only thing we hired someone for was to install Cambria Quartz counters. It took about 4-5 months to complete from start to finish. That was while DH and I both worked full-time and we had 2 dogs and 2 cats but NO KIDS. The 2nd remodel only involved recessing a fridge into an existing wall. But DH basically had to remove that wall and rebuild it. We added 2 new windows, new cabinets, new gas stove, new counters, new prep sink, new recessed lighting (old lighting was there but we moved cans and added some new ones). This remodel cost us more like $40k. We splurged on a nice Bluestar range and hood. We kept our old dishwasher and fridge. This remodel started April 2013 with a demo. We had a professional come in to sand and refinish the hardwood flooring. We didnt start installing new cabinets until late July 2013. So from May-June was just working in the kitchen that was down to the studs. We had 2 kids at this point too. I was cooking on a hot plate, microwave and toaster oven from mid April - late August. Awful! We didnt get counters installed until late September. So that makes it about 6 months and there are still tiny little details that need completing. I think your budget is tight for the big items (appliances, cabinets, counters) but you have to remember all of the little things that you will need to run out and buy at the local hardware store or home depot. Those will add hundreds or thousands to your bill. Plus items like faucets, drains, sinks, lighting. Those really add up. And there is no way you will get that all done in 1 week? That is just crazy. I would say you need more like 2 months and thats if you work like crazy. For this latest remodel we hired people to resand and refinish the floors, paid $700 for a guy to come do some drywalling for us, and then paid for the Quartz Countertop installation - Cambria that cost us close to $7k. My kitchen measures something like 16" x 11". Good luck though! I look forward to seeing your progress. I bought alot of things off of ebay (Blanco sinks, Grohe faucets) and that saved me at least $1000.

I agree about Lynette being annoying, but then I'm "one of those" people who feel like animals are family. I remember a few years back, a good friend was having her husband's sister, brother-in-law and their two small children over at Christmas, and the SIL told her she would "have to put that dog up because my son is scared of them." I told my friend she was a better person than me because I would have said "the dog has been here longer and I'm not locking him up." But that's just me. That's right!!! I'd forgotten about that.

Azzalea, I thought it was just my old brain or lack of knowledge of fairy tales, but I was a little confused too. There were a couple instances when I could not understand what was said, even when I backed up and played it again.

Chemo--thanks for the info. Of course, I knew it had to be somebody "bad" they buried!

I don't think I'm going to like Once Upon a Time, just like I don't like Pam AM any more. I miss Brothers and Sisters.

I used to watch DHW religiously when it first came on,then last year,not so much.Tried it again this year and it just seemed like it's getting too slutty for me.JMO

OK, I dvr'd Once Upon a Time and just now watched it. I liked it! Can't wait for the next episode to see what happens. I loved it when the clock started.

Desperate Housewives - sorry, couldn't be bothered.

Only watched about 15 minutes of Once Upon....didn't like.

DH is getting old, I think. Used to like it...not so much anymore.

I have watched the "Dirty Housewives" as my hubby called them, since it started and will be so sorry to see it end.....I think it's so funny (and stupid) but there I sit, every Sunday night.....

So anxious to see what is still in that grave.............

We liked Once Upon a Time, or rather hubby did, I was preoccupied and didn't really watch it. I will watch it again. Looking forward to Grim, looks like my kind of show so most likely it won't last! LOL!!

Never watched "housewives" it is fiction isn't it? Wendy Williams had a couple of LA Housewive on her program and it was confusing.
