My husband and I took our two granddaughters aged about 2 and 4 to our small town park. An older girl, about 6, was there and said to the girls, let's play house. I'll be the mommy, and pointing to the older DGD, you be the daddy and pointing to the younger DGD, you be the baby. Our youngest DGD replyed to that, I NOT BABY!. So of course, we say that to each other once and awhile.

Hubby and I were babysitting the grandsons at their house one day, and the boys were playing a computer game at the Nickelodean site. They played for 30 minutes and I made them pause to go to the bathroom, and visit with me, and then they could play again. That time, I set the alarm clark for 30 minutes and told them they had to finish when the alarm went off.

When it rang, the youngest was soooo concerned because "he didn't know it was going to ring" and he wasn't ready yet. So I gave him 5 more minutes. Naturally when that time was up he begged for 5 more, but I held firm and made him quit the game.

He shook his head from side to side and said ... you're a HAAARD gramma to me.

When my DGD was 2 she ran into the House to met a couple of my friends who stopped by.

She "Hello, my name is Arianna, I'm 2 years old and I have rocks in my pocket. You wanna see?"

Not a bit shy.

I called her on the phone one day and asked what she was doing. "Oh just playing dinosaurs and Fire Frucks".

I'm a mama, not a grandma. I have a dd that will be five this month. She's been wanting to do grown up things lately. She has said several things that crack me up. She asked me about a month ago "Mommy, when can I get boobies?" Another favorite is "I'm going to live with you forever until you die." Dh's favorite is when she tells me she wants to go to lunch with him "without you Mama!"

When my 26 year old DGD was little, we were driving someplace with her in her rear carseat, and me beside her. I had never heard her talk yet, so loved her comment on her mom's moon boots. She looked down on them and said, "Big honkin' boots"!

When my youngest was a little over two his brother and sister were teasing him. He looked them straight in the eye and said "SHUP....I NOT SOOPID!"
Now if DH or I tease each other we say the same thing.....we have done it so much our friends are saying it, too.
Well, it was funny when it happened.

We have next door neighbors that are a Lesbian couple and great neighbors too. The other day our granddaughter asked me if I thought they were still gay. LOL

I was talking to my DIL and DGD on the phone this evening, and Tara was showing flashcards of the alphabet to Hailey. The very first one, I could hear Hailey say "That's ME!" He mom says, "no...it's U" LoL
I laughed sooooooooo hard!!!!!!!!!

I don't have kids or grands, but we're still saying things from when WE were kids. When I was little and fussy, my mother would say in a sing-song voice "she's just tiiiii-errrd". Oh, that would make me so mad! So now when I'm in a crabby mood, Woody'll say that to me. It STILL makes me mad!

Brother Steve, after hernia surgery- "dink water, tirsty!" Yep, still using that when I get a drink.

Other brother- can't think of one, but it should be "I didn't do it, Officer." lolol He was always in trouble.

I'm still gettin' them from my own KIDS, much less the grandkids! LOL

Brought the 8 year old DGD an ink pad, some bottles of refill ink and some stamps yesterday. Told her that I had taken a bra back to WalMart and gotten a refund card and used it to buy her stuff.

My smart aleck DD (age 36) says to her niece, "So, if Mamaw's Saggy it's YOUR fault!" ROFLMBO (This was said in front of a livingroom full of close family. We ALL got a laugh out of it.) I'm not modest or I wouldn't have said it in the front place! LOL

I'm not a grandma yet, but my little ones crack me up. The other day my 4 yr old came up to me while she was eating a banana and said "Mommy, I really like bananas cuz they're so much good" :o)

At our house we say things like "that's tasty" and "I'm snuggly" and I catch myself using those phrases all the time.

We like Doritos chips alot and we call them "the red chippies and the blue chippies" (nacho and cool ranch). The other day at work everyone cracked up when I said "I'm going to the vending machine to get some blue chippies" lol

One day when we were driving past the fire station with our 5 year old DGS in the car, we started a serious discussion about what he would like to be when he grows up.

After we offered a few suggestions, he said "When I get to be a human (he ment adult) ... I think I would like to be a cowboy." We still chuckle over that one and I insist that DH still hasn't become a human!. LOL

DGS, 4 years old, came home from preschool and said he had a new friend named Olive. My DD asked him is Olive a girl? No, he replied he's a boy. DD asks could his name be Oliver? "No, said Tate, it's Olive like the food!"
DGD, 2 years old, was told by my DD that she was beautiful, her reply, "No mama, I'm a princess!"
Love those grands!
