Here are my DS and DGD Genevieve last Halloween. (He is so handsome without that darn beard -- and the darn baseball cap!)

This is my sweet grandson, Asher and my son Daniel. Asher will be 3 at the end of June.

RaeAnna, I will for sure! That arbor has been in the works for so long that if I actually ever get it completed you’d better believe I will be insufferably showing it off. Lilyfinch, thank you! Earth Angel wants to be much bigger than that spot allows, but she’s worth wrangling for those blooms and repeats really well for me there, which keeps that area interesting when Eden is resting. You should definitely get another! I have two, one on either side of that arbor entrance and it’s all of my littles’ favorite rose. They are always wanting to run out there and smell it. There’s so much info out there on the internet nowadays that I feel pretty confident attempting to build most anything. I did the entire fence by myself and even learned how to do concrete and stone mosaics online so I could lay the path. But there’s something about this arbor that’s really intimidating me. I want it to be an arch that mirrors the architecture of the front of the house, and I can’t settle on what method I’m going to use. I tend to obsessively plan to a fault and that’s part of the problem. I need to just bite the bullet and get started and whatever happens, happens! I’d love to see your birdhouse! There’s nothing like the pride you feel when you’ve done it yourself. Vapor, thank you so much! Please copy the combo, I’d love to see what you do with it! And thank you for the compliments, the house exterior and garden has been in the works for a long time, so comments like “utter charm” just thrill me to the bone in a way I can’t adequately articulate. It’s been so much work over years and so frustrating at points, and of course I doubt my choices sometimes like we all do and worry it’s all “too weird” for a front yard in a land of lawns, so positive feedback means a lot to me.

Atheen, funny how things like that make our hearts rejoice. What a beautiful pic. I never see cardinals in my yard. Someone or something is trying to tell you something since sending anything your way like that is special. Yes, stick around more often and share. Post to the February one too. We need more people like you around around)))) Floral, all plants are equal to me. They serve their purpose. Nice pics and hard to believe spring is popping up some where. Gives us hope. Thanks Tropico, I can't believe you got that to flower at such a young age. I have always wanted to grow one of those. Nice work. Looks like it's well on it's way into a good shape. I just shot an image of this for another thread for 'cactus care (it's a Thanksgiving Cactus). It's not in bloom, but it's one of my Home Office Friends. A bit bronzed by excess light, slightly south of western window, its friend is a baby tropical hibiscus with a slight cyanobacteria problem at the moment... :-) Oh, it's in 2/3 Miracle Gro Moisture Control and 1/3 sand. Dash of Perlite.

Today when Finn and I were at the wading pool, we met a little guy named Arrow. That is one of the most unusual names I have heard. Arrow's middle name is Max.

Doesn't anyone have any *homely* grands? LOL These are all such beautiful children! Well...I can't see all of phyllis' Brenden, but he has a very nice tummy!

I'm exhausted. Our two grands were here today for Fathers Day: Nathaniel, 7, and Evie, 16 mos.

Jae, what a beautiful family!! your Maddie kept her blue eyes!! Mine didn't hers are hazel green! I am amazed they changed from sky blue!
