The thing I do most often is sprinkle it liberally on potatoes while they're still warm and make potato salad.

I wonder what would happen if you put sliced fresh cucumbers in the juice and let them marinate? Maybe with some sliced onions.

Pickle juice is VERY salty, probably not terrific to ingest directly.

Soaking chicken pieces in it would be the same as using a salt water brine. The salty solution causes water to be absorbed by the meat, thus making it more "juicy".

The huge industrial producers who produce tasteless (and usually contaminated) chicken, like Perdue and Tyson, already add water and salt to the chicken they sell, to make it heavier. A pickle juice treatment of this stuff probably wouldn't have much effect.

I use it to "pickle" other things like sliced up onions, boiled eggs, veggie sticks. My husband loves those.

Many people drink a little pickle juice. Vinegar is very good. and Pickle juice is mostly vinegar. My mother and grandmother have always drank some everyday. I like to put pomegranate vinegar in my water every day. Vinegar helps my blood sugar numbers, if they are high I have some vinegar or something containing vinegar like a pickle and it will bring it down. Now there have been studies on it.

Oh and if you have copper pots you can make them shine using pickle juice.

I use it to make dill dip.

Hubby drinks a couple big glugs of it when he gets charlie horses in the middle of the night. Swears by it. My best friend does too. I use it in potato salad, egg salad, deviled eggs.

I make my own refrigerator dill pickles (not the deep water bath kind). When the jar is empty, I put more cukes in there and they are ready to eat in 10 days. I sometimes put fresh dill in there, it all depends on what is available in the yard.

There's no magic in pickle juice. Many people have night cramps because they are partly dehydrated; drinking more water during the day often solves the problems. A lack of salts can also play a part, drinking a sports drink supplies several electrolytes and bananas supply potassium.

If you want to eat more vinegar, pair it with olive oil and eat more salad.

Mmm....I love dill pickle juice; I crave salty more than sweet. I have a recipe for potato salad where you "marinate" the potatoes in equal amounts of dill pickle juice and French dressing overnight before making the rest of the standard salad. It's good! Or else just marinate in the dill pickle juice alone.....it will tang up the potatoes just a bit.

When I make potato salad, I use it in the dressing. I mix enough mustard with mayonnaise to give it a light yellow color, and thin it slightly with dill pickle juice. I add celery seed and chopped bacon. The only pickles I like are Claussen dills. Those are the only ones I buy. I've tried others, but always go back to Claussens's.

Dill pickle juice is GREAT for treating heartburn. Ditch the Tums and Pepcid and drink a teaspoon or two of pickle juice. Your heartburn will disappear like magic.
