A friend of mine called and told me about it! She knows I don't watch TV! lol Her Step-Mom is so involved with all the games and stuff on Facebook, that that's ALL she talks about anymore!

About time that people think about the consequences of posting on the social networking sites. I think they're ridiculous, myself!

Jay, If our temperature were to get as low as yours today, my overwintering tomato and peppers plants (and flowers) in the garage would freeze, so let's hope that doesn't happen. Woo hoo! I just checked the thermometer and we've made it up to 32 degrees. Now that it is up to freezing, let's see if it can make it up to 40 degrees. If we get up to 40 degrees, I'll drag the plants outside for a little sunlight. I had listened to Dr. Forbes' severe weather discussion on The Weather Channel the day before the tornadoes hit but I don't think it sank into my brain how closely it would start to Oklahoma. When I woke up yesterday, the tornadoes were occurring and the eastern edge of OK still had a tornado watch in effect until 8 a.m. Those storms were too close to some of our forum members for comfort! I'm glad your friends daughter was safe. I hope and pray we have a better weather year in 2011 because it sure seems like 2010 had a lot of really deadly weather. That's one thing about a country as big as ours...there's so many kinds of killer weather in various parts of the country....just about everything you can imagine. Having lived in TX and OK all my life, I share your belief that even in a "good" weather year, we'll still have our share of weather-related tragedies. The calmest weather years I can think of all had one thing in common....developing drought. When developing drought is occurring, we often have less rain and less humidity, so less flooding, lightning and tornado-related deaths. However, if the drought develops into a serious enough situation, we have wildfires which bring their own issues. One thing about the weather in the middle of the country...if you don't like it, it will change in about 5 minutes. Dawn

Mason congo, fisheri, stuckyi, i really dont know what others get monsterous in time, but that what im shootin for next. Im not sure but i fear its too late this year to do any mailing to the north tho, there always next spring tho. hopefully by then we all have some lovely new sans to swap around. Ive been poking around and all the links i find to cultural practices with golden hahnii lead me back here...

I think we have pretty much established what led to the problem I know you think you have, but I can tell you flat out you are mistaken. First of all normal dominance is rarely the reason behind such serious dog-to-dog aggression. This goes way beyond that. Even a certified behaviorist isn't going to suggest any behavior modification without a clean bill of health from the Vets which will include more than what you have had done. Not your fault jus that the health of the dog that died may have been a huge factor. Anyway a behaviorist will come and see the behavior of each dog to see if the dog dogs has poor socialization, lack of structure, weak nerves, etc. and than see how they inter- react with each other. If you can't afford a behaviorist than please get a hold of this guy at the link supplied below ...explain all that has happened. I think you will find him to be very unbderstanding and helpful. Let's have more good news like this. My DD has landed a full time job, but has yet to work more than 23 hours a week. Volumteered to do shifts no one else wanted this weekend and still hasn't made a 40 hour week. The economy is moving, but like molasses.

I like FB and have found it to be a wonderful way to reconnect with folks that had been missing in our life for awhile.. Lost class mates and even kin folk we have reconnected with. But at the same token.... we shouldn't be putting stuff out there that could turn around and do us harm. My Step GD is forever putting her kids photos up and photos of her breastfeeding her 2 year old in public places such as sports stadiums and malls... and I am so afraid for her and her children...

You have to be careful EVERYWHERE in this day and time. There are folks that will follow you from place to place on the net, no matter what name you may use... those stalkers and troublemakers will hunt you down like so much prey, simply by searching IP addresses... now that takes evil dedication & intent!! Those folks need to really get a life of their own.
There are sociopaths everywhere.... but there are good folks everywhere too... so just use caution in any circumstance.

Recently Canada made Facebook clean up some of their Privacy Issues. I don't think it is right these apps sell our info or even have access to it. My telephone number is not on Facebook, I use a Yahoo account I can disable anytime and I have very few pictures.

We have to remember too that these apps are not the only things that sell our info. Telephone companies, magazine publishers, gym memberships, many things you sign up for online and in real life sells our info to data and listing companies. I worked for a marketing company that would buy lists of names for their mailing lists

Anytime you send for free coupons or enter contests your name is given to a third party and in most of those cases they retrieve more personal info than Facebook has on us and we willingly give it.

Look at Google Earth or Street view - if anyone has your address they can find your house online. They mapped our city twice because they had images of a murder scene. The first time they came around you could see right into my living room. I am more concerned how that application is being used and who is using it.

I posted about this issue on my Facebook status Monday morning. I was going to delete the 2 games I play that were mentioned but whatever info they needed they have already taken.

All that means is they have your "Facebook ID number," which only shows what you have set up in your privacy settings. It doesn't show anything about you that you didn't put there.

In my case, it shows that I'm married and I like to quote Dave Barry...that's it.

It isn't like it shows your SSN or anything important.
