I've given up on coupons. Too much trouble to read, cut,organize,save, and they expire. I think I do better buying advertised specials. My pantry and freezer are well-stocked. I buy paper products (paper towels and toilet paper) in bulk and keep them in my garage. I hate coupons. I used to use them a lot, 25 years ago. I'm too old and tired and cranky for them now.

This is a great coupon if you use these bags. I love them.

Thanks for posting. I sometimes wonder if printing the coupons saves me any money with the cost of printer cartridges? I am not sure. But I do clip coupons from the papers and magazines.

As frugal as I am I have given up on clipping. They always expire just before a sale. They take too much time to organize. They are forgotten. They are always for overpriced, unhealthy, processed foods.

What I liked was when our local grocery store used to have coupons right there to rip off when you got the item right then.

I find that coupons do not work for me as they aren't what I would buy or want at all.

I just look for sales and buy and keep ahead of items I use alot.

I used to buy case loads in toilet paper and kleenexes but now I just buy on sale and load up.

I clip coupons, but don't use them a lot. A lot are for unhealthy foods. Sometimes I do hit the motherlode and come up with quite a bit of savings particularly if I can get a couple of different newspapers worth of coupons and a sale.

If you'd like more coupons, a good way is to sign up on-line for promotions. I use a separate e-mail specifically for this sort of thing. I sign up for coupons, freebies or anything that hits my fancy. I sometimes get some pretty good deals. You don't get a lot of junk mail from the legitimate businesses.

Another good place to get good deals is to shop at Walgreens. They have a little booklet they put out each month. It has some coupons to be used in their store and also some rebates. I believe they also allow manufacturers coupons in addition to use of the store coupons. Thanks to them, I'm stocked up on adult toothpaste and toothbrushes and some other items.

Check out manufacturer's web sites. I don't know if they still do this or not, but Kroger used to have it where you could go on-line and pick out which coupons you'd like to have mailed to you. It was for their brand only, but we got some pretty good deals. It also got us on their mailing list for other special promotions like $10 off.

If you can find someone in another state to swap coupons, you may be able to double up on some deals because companies run different promotions in d ifferent states. For instance, you may find a buy one, get one free coupon in another state and your state got the $1 off coupon. Depending upon the deal, you may be able to use both coupons.

I don't use food coupons either. They aren't worth the trouble and most of them are for brands/items I don't use. We buy in bulk and save more money that way. I do use the Michaels' and Linens and Things coupons that come with the Sunday paper occasionally. NancyLouise

I use them for items I plan to buy. We have a new grocery in town and I noticed they had a double coupon sign outside. Now that will definitely cause me to clip more.

I clip them from the Sunday paper inserts. Don't use them a lot, but to save 50 cents here, $1.00 there helps a little. When I used to color my hair, I used to clip a $2.50 off coupon, then use it at the local drug store on a Monday when it was double coupon day. It pleased me to get $5.00 off a $7.00 product. I don't know of any store around where I live now that doubles coupons. Dottie

I look at the sale ad the day they are delivered, then search the sites for coupons I can use. I clip a few here and there out of the paper but only ones I use. I hate organizing them too. I do mine alphabetically. I used to play coupon poker with a group of ladies once a month but because of schedules and such, we dont do it anymore.

Most coupons are for junk food or convenience products I don't use. When did you see a coupon for flour or eggs or milk or butter?

DH does 95% of our shopping and I let him. He can smell a good buy a mile away.
I am really to lazy to hit the store every day like he does to shop the good deals. More power to those that have more patience than me.

I have really gotten into using coupons again. On Sunday DH goes to town and gets me a paper. I pull out the coupons and the Walgreens sale ad. I make my WG list, last week I saved right at $22.. I didn't buy junk, I bought stuff that I use every day.

All for right at 11. dollars.
Every shopping trip I have managed to save between 5-10 dollars. It does take time, but when I know I got a bag of dogfood free, or saved my family $10. Then its worth it to me.

I was so exicted to see the GAIN Laundry detergent coupons in this weeks papers that I could hardly contain myself. Just wish I had thought and had hubby run back by the store to pick up another paper.

As far as food, I don't buy alot of junk and just because I have a coupon for it I won't run out to buy it. I am smart about what I am using and how much I am actually saving.

I got $5 off my grocery bill yesterday with coupons I think there were 6 items. Most of my coupons come from the Sunday paper inserts. I buy a local Sundy paper and the Dallas paper. Usually I double what it cost me for the papers by the coupons inside. I am disgusted with the big ads in magazines for various products that are usually used anyway. Why not just include a coupon for the product on that page. There is usually a 40% off one item coupon for Michael's and Hobby Lobby craft stores. I use them for a magazine occasionaly. If I don't see anything in the store I want I usualy give the coupon to another customer.
