When I Need the Mail to be Quick, it's Slow

I mailed a letter with a $5 money order to Texas on Oct. 9. They still haven't received it. I sent it regular post, as I didn't think it would take that long. It was still $12, with the cost of the money order.

Yet I send Christmas cards to my KT buddies and they get there within a week.

Had I thought it would have been this slow to get what I needed, I would have sent it to one of you in Texas, and you could have forwarded it to Fort Worth. I'll bet it would have been there by now.

I mail things to Texas all the time from California...average time three-four business days. It sounds like your letter is lost.

Coming from Canada, I expect it to take longer. I'm hoping it gets there soon.

I noticed the same issues with my plants. My Tepin and Mole sprouts are growing VERY slowly - 2 inches tall, just starting to grow their 2nd set of leaves. My sweet banana peppers are almost 4 inches tall with fully a developed 2nd set of leaves. After a few waterings, I have been giving all of my plants a full dose (10-15-10) of fertilizer. The Banana peppers love it. The leaves are long and thick. The hot peppers show no signs of fertilization.

Barbra, I keep thinking of this post and i have to say that i am right there with you!!! Thank you all for the kind wishes for my first Grandson coming in Sept. Tks Peg... Living room is always an option.. I Like that one! Kasie...im already looking for an infant Plumeria shirt for his first post to all of you to introduce him!! : ) K...you know me to well.. but, you are right.. Greenhoue it is!!! LOL NC...great idea... then after he wakes, he goes back to mom!! LOL.. It will be fun!!! I cant wait!!! I don't know anyone who supplies there real info to web based email accounts. Why would anyone do that?? What ever info you enter should be written down and saved somewhere though. If you should ever forget your password or your account gets hijacked they will ask you for you "information". After all they can't just send out passwords for accounts to just anybody who asks for it claiming to be the owner of said account. I learned this the hard way with my Yahoo account. They needed to know my birthday in order to retrieve my password for me and how the heck would I remember what I had put down when I signed up? Good-bye Yahoo email account. Some email services ask for your referrer email account too so take note of that also.

Anele, the room is pretty much a blank canvas. We recently put our four poster back up after selling the furniture I did not like. Here are pics of the bed from our old house. I don't have a complete picture of the bed. Ignore the bedding as we no longer use it. Also here is the end table that I purchased off CL for my guest room but we have now moved it into the master. There is no color or anything on the walls and I'm still working on the direction I want to go in. I do know that I would like to have seating in the room and want to put something at the foot of the bed if that helps. OH yeah, I'm still looking for a dresser and have decided that I'm going to use a skirted table or mirrored chest for my side of the bed. I guess I'm concerned about the cream getting dirty but that is my only objection.

Many of the post offices are either being shut down, going to shorter hours, and as the post masters are taking early retirement (ours did), being replace by temp help and not getting new postmasters. Some regional centers are also getting less people which means it will take longer to get the mail going. Their hours are also being cut.
But they should have it by now. You might have your PO put a tracer on it if they will.

We can't mail Canada from Nashville without it taking ages. I always send it via FedEx, 2nd day. Yes, really slow over the border. I've been doing this for a decade now. It's always been slow.

Once I mailed a birthday card to my niece, about 12 miles away and it took two weeks!
