Delete it all, don't respond, don't click links. spammers/identity thieves are very good at duplicating official logos from banks and government. Beware and DELETE!!!

We froze our credit reports years ago as a partial safeguard against identity theft. At least a thief can't get a loan or open a charge account in our names. I have only needed to 'unfreeze' once, for a few hours, when we opened a store charge to get a discount on a large purchase. (Later closed that account.)

Until the bank starts charging me not to bank online, I won't. We only have a checking account and write about 100 checks a year. Most things are direct deposit or direct withdrawal. We use very little cash; the bank is two minutes away if we need any. Never use an ATM. (Old fuddy-duddy!)

Purchases all go on a CC, paid in full monthly. One earns flight miles. One pays back a small 'bonus'.

Banks do not send out emails. Forward the one you received to abuse@bankamerica.com

I received one "supposedly" from our Bank of America several months ago, printed it out and took it right to our bank. They kept my printed out copy but also told me to forward it to the abuse address.

I got that one too but didn't open it. It's phishing.

Yes, that's not identity theft but one of the many phishing scams.
