Sis and niece made it in yesterday and we've been having a great visit.

Doing the decorating this afternoon and then going to have a great time.

Had one yes that had to cancel due to family situation, but they at least called versus just not showing up. That's what I call considerate.

Yes, wore myself to a frazzle, yes still recovering and yes, busy organizing the pictures to post.

It went off really great and we had even more toasts then at our 25th.

Everyone raved about the food, service and music. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the food. One of the dishes was a vegetable melody. I don't know how many times I've had that and the squash has been mushy and broccoli looked pale. Not so here - crispy squash and very well cooked and broccoli that looked, well, like broccoli.

So soon as I finish collecting all the photos I promise to post. But give me a couple of days!

Party_music, no their not edible, but decoration. They're rainbow ribbons which are a gay symbol representing our diversity.

What a happy occasion and you guys look great. Nice to have family there to celebrate.

Not one compliant about the food. Everything was spot on and the servers couldn't have been better. Raise an eyebrow and they were there asking if you needed something.

Geo and I won't need to cook for a long time as we got enough restaurant gift certificates to carry us into next year.

Congratulations; and it looks like a great party. If I were fortunate enough to live nearby, and received an invitation, I would not only have replied, quickly, but I would have arrived early to help set up, and stayed after to help clean up.

It's been so long since I've been to any sort a "formal" to-do! I do love wedding/anniversary cake.

So glad the food was good and service superb! A headcount of 80 is a very nice size.

caroline, same here... long time since attending a formal to-do! I received 3 wedding invitations this year and every one was *extremely* informal -- each one was held outdoors in primitive settings and we are SO lucky that the weather was good for every one! :)

The menu was:

Apps: Fresh Season Fruit served with Pineapple-cream cheese dipping sauce; Coconut Crusted Shrimp with cocktail sauce and Chicken tenders with Rand Dressing and Honey Mustard sauce.

Buffet line: Fresh Salad Greens with choice of dressings; Sliced Roast Beef in Mushroom sauce, Lemon Pepper Chicken Breast and Cranberry Crusted Salmon in Champagne sauce served with:

Chef's choice of vegetable (which was a vegetable medley which I mentioned above) Macaroni and Cheese and Candy Sweet Potatoes, rolls and iced tea and Apple Cobbler for dessert.

Everyone raved about how good everything was and the Mac and Cheese got mentioned more than once. I know what folks meant when they were wondering about it at first, but after tasting it, loved it.

Was worth every penny we spent and the place is getting a rave recommendation from us.
