I will probably do some more yard clean up. I might get a few groceries. Other than that, I plan on having a quiet day.

Grumbling? LOL?

DH is working another Sat (think he's had a total of 3 off in 2010). He came down with a cold on Thursday--and I joined him yesterday. So guess I'll be keeping warm, piling in zinc, and trying to get rid of this thing as quickly as possible.

Well, I know what my plans were! But now I have to get an early start to get to your house in time for that feast tomorrow!!! LOL

actually, I'm going to pick up a couple prescriptions, then go to the dollar store for several things and now, thanks to ours dying this morning, buy a new coffee maker at the Hardware store.
Our meals today will be, cereal for breakfast, I'll buy some take-out for lunch and leftovers from the pot roast we had last night. Nothing exciting or gourmet.

For me--I'm going to pick up some daffodil bulbs and plant them if it stops raining. Otherwise, I'll probably see if I can get the water heater working so I can do dishes and laundry. I'll also rest because it was a l-o-n-g week at work.

Last week was so busy,starting with a family funeral last Saturday, DGD's big 1st Birthday party the next day at our house, then an all day outing at a Children's museum ( Please touch Museum) on the actual day. Not to mention the usual daily errands that have to be done.

Tomorrow, I am demanding a day of "nothing".

It's cold here today. The doggies were a bit reluctant to walk this morning. I have a couple of errands to run this morning, including going to the grocery store to get the makings for bean soup. Cold weather will do that to me! Just want something warm to eat and soup is easy. Later in the day I have to go over to my sister's house and get her dog out for a walk. She and my brother-in-law are going to a wedding today that is a bit far away, so Rosie needs to get out while they are still there. They leave for Florida tomorrow, the lucky ducks!

I am cleaning out my email. Down to 421 in my google account.

You All come to dinner tomorrow. Yes, it is buffet style but we sit in the dining room and the kitchen. I am fixing it all but the turkey, veggie tray and hummingbird cake. After this family dinner we will plan on Thanksgiving dinner and then Christmas dinner. Eleven are invited. Tomorrow is a special occasion will tell you about it tomorrow some time :)

lol...I can relate. Cleaning my email is on my 'mental' To-Do list, as it isn't important enough (yet) to make it on the actual 'physical' list.

Today I'm (still) logging and making below ground tags for all the new daffodils I've acquired this year (about 275 cultivars), and then, time allowing, will prep about 8 boxes to go out to friends.....many of them GW cyber friends.

Trying to wake up and stay up. I'm so tired. Had to get up to make it to the post office before it closes (noon) so Maria can mail a gift box to her mom. Then have to buy some packing tape and go to Fed Ex place in next town (there's no place here) to send back a Dish network receiver that's not working. 2:00 get my hair cut...then sometime today I have to buy Halloween candy and a few other items at Wal-Mart. Not sure what else we are going to do. Lauren's friend's mom invited me to a party but I don't know anyone but her and not very well. Johanna wants to pass out candy but they both want to go see the Thriller dance in the street in Lexington, which is tonight. So, have no clue what we are doing. I just want to go back to sleep.

There were no yard sales listed this weekend. The boys and I slept in until 8:15! Then we went to an open house at the YMCA. Dan bounced in the bouncy house, they both painted pumpkins and made foam magnets. We took a hayride and I shared two hot dogs with Dan. Then Nick wanted to go to Goodwill and well, so did I of course. I picked up two pairs of shoes (one pair B.O.C. one pair of Merrells - $9 for both), a top and some stuff for the boys including a video of Runaway Ralph, which I remember loving and buying for my nephews when they were little. Oh and one cookbook, a Taste of Home compilation which always have great recipes. They had several Taste of Home cookbooks but I controlled myself and picked one. Spent under $20 there, would have spent less without Nick along. Well, I might have spent more without them. I really couldn't shop for myself with Dan there.

The same thing I have been doing since Monday. Visiting my Hubby in the hospital. Should have been home by now. Will probably be a few more days. Please say a prayer for him. He has never been sick. Had surgery for his appendix and removed some colon and lymph nodes. Not cancerous. But having a tough time with the bowels. Sure hope he doesn't need any more surgery. Dr. put a Ng tube in. Poor guy is so thirsty. He is allowed nothing.

You all have cooking or interesting things going on!

Got up early to photo-shoot the sunrise. Then ran 5.5 miles. Got 2 loads of laundry in different stages going. Going to the coffin races down the middle of the street, so the town is gonna be closed to thru traffic....:0) you can do that when you live in a small mountain town. :0)

If I get an important email, I print it. I empty all of my email folders including the sent and delete folders once a month. I really don't see any point in keeping it longer.

It's 44 degrees and a little sprinkle of rain today, a good day for staying inside.

I have a mound of laundry to do today. Then I'll probably take a nap if the neighbors don't get too noisy, or I'll poke around on the web otherwise.

Tomorrow I go shopping.

Went to town yesterday for shopping and fought snow/ice on the roads most of the day. Today had a wedding shower, lunch at cafe (cheese sandwich) and tonight DH's birthday dinner (supper) at DD which is corn beef and cabbage and Cold Stone Creamery chocolate ice cream cake--oh so yummy. We eat light to keep diabetes and weight under control. Next week starts a lots of craft shows--and the snow will be gone--I hope. Big one in Minot and all over town and many of the smaller towns have them.

Groceries, raking leaves, then napping :) Homemade pizza for dinner, then a movie.

Just finished getting a giant sign ready to put out for trick or treating. I still need 10 completed parent-child surveys. Hoping parents will be willing to take a survey with them tonight... and will actually return COMPLETED ones!

Took DIL out for her early 44th birthday.

I just finished mowing hopefully for the last time this year.

It's 78 degrees and was hot mowing. Nice for the kids tonight though, it could be sleeting by this time.

Today I went to my DD's birthday dinner at her DDIL/DS's. We had decided since this would probably be our last get-together before cold weather, we would do picnic/lunch in the backyard, rather than dinner inside. Good choice since we had a coolish, but sunny day. DGD and her DH were there also. We always have a lot of fun and laughter when we are together, although since they all talk so fast, like young people do these days, I only hear bits and pieces! I love it anyway!

We didn't have a feast like Marilyn Sue's. We had potato soup, hot ham roll ups, deviled eggs, relish tray, a variety of home made and decorated cupcakes, plus I took Sweet Mini Apple Dumplings.

Came home fell asleep, had a phone call, finished my nap, had another phone call, and then went through my coupons. KMart has Double coupons up to $2 tomorrow. So I'll be going there in the afternoon.

Marilyn Sue, I know your family will have a great day, too and it will be fun hearing the "surprise."
