As I matter of fact I do wear jewelry differently at my 2 homes! I can't stand cold metal touching me so I don't wear necklaces in the winter (from Nov to about March) at my regular home. And I wear one particular pair of earring almost all winter because they dangle but not long enough to touch my skin. Some of the longer ones end up touching my neck from my scarves & bulky coat so I avoid those. It's crazy but cold metal just sends a chill right through me and makes me feel colder. Since it's warmer in HHI, I do wear necklaces & earrings and even bracelets. I usually bring a few down with me so that I can have some variety. One necklace at a time, if it's bold than the earrings are smaller. One bracelet at a time and it depends on my sleeve length. In both places, I occasionally wear rings when I remember them. Your comments about gold & blue reminds me that I have an 18k gold ring with a lapis lazuli stone. I should dig that out and start wearing it again.

So my wife's friend calls me and tells me she is at my house. My wife is taking a quick nap in her dress because we have somewhere to go about an hour later. I picked her heels off the floor and hid them because I knew if someone came over the first thing she would do is look for heels to put on. So I sneak my wife's friend in the front door with her daughter. I am very tall but couldn't believe how tall they were with the heels they bought on. They must have been `12" because even at my height they seemed just a little shorter than me. They could barely walk in them. I go into my bedroom and tell my wife that someone was here to see her. She said "what, I didn't hear the door?" She got up and immediately said "where are my heels? I left them right there on the floor. Who is it at the door?" I told her someone from church I didn't recognize which she didn't think much about because she was always talking to people at church I didn't know. So she said "whatever, I don't want to keep them waiting" So she walks out of our room into the entry way and stands awestruck when she sees them. My poor wife was in shock as they walked up to her to hug her and her head had to tilt all the way up to see them. I thought it was so funny that she was just taller than them at church and now looked so tiny next to them. In her pantyhose feet she was towered over by her friend and her daughter. They teased her and patted her on the head calling her shorty. It was so funny.

I have never been able to wear walking sneakers of any kind. The only time of sneaker I can wear without pain is a New Balance X trainer style. Used to wear Nike and Reebok cross trainers but they changed. I once bought a pair of walking sneakers for a trip to Disneyland. Wore them for 3 hours the first evening and the pain started at the ankle, then the knee and finally the hip. I wore sandals for the rest of the weekend because I couldn't even stand in those shoes without pain. It took me a month to fully recover. So I can see how that women could have hip fractures if she has brittle bones. But I think suing is insane. If something hurts then stop using it fool. I really wear sneakers. I wear sport sandals and flip flops in the summer and boots in the winter. Sketchers seem to be made for flat feet. I never found a pair that offered any support at all for my high arch.

Thank you. :) You're probably right eld. I overthink things sometimes. I always have to remind myself to just stop planning and do at some point. I bought a colourful coverup yesterday and will look for a high necked sleeveless swim top to go under my tankini. Hopefully I won't have your problem daisychain, with riding up, as mine isn't tightly fitted. We have confronted BIL at various times and the usual remorse and empty promises occur. Hopeless cause I'm afraid. It would be nice if no alcohol were in the summer mix, but that isn't fair to all those who can handle it. I will try the deadpan stare and walk away though, thanks for that suggestion! He might not see it through his alcohol haze and probably will still think he's hilarious. He's pretty thickheaded. People used to laugh with him, which I found astonishing, but not so much anymore.
